PERTH CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE – PERTH, AUSTRALIA, Tuesday, 01 September 2023 – Brigadier General Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) recently attended the Chief of Army Symposium 2023 (CAS 2023) which took place from the 29th to 30th August 2023 at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia.
With the theme “Adapting Army”, the annual symposium was hosted by the Australian Chief of Army, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart and attended by 24 countries from the Indo-Pacific region. The two-day symposium began with an opening address from the Australian Chief of Army, followed by keynote presentations from eminent thinkers as well as interactive panel discussions. Invited guest speakers also delivered talks with topics focused on innovation, people and partnership.
During the symposium, the Commander of RBLF also held bilateral meetings with his counterparts to explore on future initiatives to further strengthen defence cooperation and foster relationships between the respective forces and countries in general.
Available on-site as part of the symposium were the exposition whereby more than 100 exhibitors gathered to promote their latest products. The exhibition was sectorized into three categories – Army Innovation Day (AID), Army Quantum Technology Challenge (QTC) and Army Robotics Exposition (ARX). The Commander of RBLF also had the opportunity to visit a multitude of exhibitors which showcased leading equipments, state of the art technology, and service solutions to enhance armies’ capabilities and requirements.
The symposium aimed to provide a unique platform for allies and partners from across the Pacific to engage and exchange ideas to enhance armies’ capabilities while also forging bilateral relationships.
Accompanying the RBLF Commander during his visit to Perth was his spouse, Pengiran Hajah Rozedah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman. A separate programme was also concurrently held for the wives of Chief of Armies and representatives from the Indo-Pacific region.

PERTH CONVENTION AND EXHIBITION CENTRE– PERTH, AUSTRALIA, 01 September 2023 – Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menghadiri Chief of Army Symposium (CAS 2023) yang bermula dari 29 hingga 30 Ogos 2023 bertempat di Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia.
Dengan bertemakan “Adapting Army“, CAS 2023 yang dihoskan oleh Chief of Army Australia, Lieutenant General Simon Stuart telah dihadiri oleh 24 buah negara dari rantau Indo-Pasifik. Simposium yang diselenggarakan selama dua hari itu telah menjemput beberapa penceramah jemputan yang merupakan pakar dalam topik-topik yang berkaitan dengan tema persidangan melalui pembentangan dan perkongsian perspektif yang tertumpu kepada inovasi, anggota dan rakan pasukan.
Semasa simposium tersebut juga, Pemerintah TDDB turut mengadakan perjumpaan dua hala dengan rakan sejawat bagi membincangkan inisiatif-inisiatif masa hadapan ke arah mengukuhkan lagi kerjasama pertahanan dan memupuk hubungan diantara tentera masing-masing dan negara secara amnya.
Pameran produk pertahanan dan pameran statik juga dikendalikan sepanjang acara berlangsung dengan penyertaan lebih daripada 100 buah syarikat industri pertahanan dalam tiga kategori iaitu Army Innovation Day (AID), Army Quantum Technology Challenge (QTC) dan Army Robotics Exposition (ARX). Pemerintah TDDB telah berpeluang meninjau pelbagai peralatan, produk, teknologi inovatif yang terkini dan service solutions untuk meningkatkan keupayaan dan keperluan tentera.
CAS 2023 telah menyediakan platfom bagi menjalinkan hubungan ketenteraan dengan rakan pasukan dari seluruh rantau pasifik melalui pertukaran dan perkongsian maklumat dalam meningkatkan keupayaan ketenteraan sekaligus memperkukuhkan hubungan dua hala.
Turut bersama menghadiri simposium tersebut adalah isteri kepada Pemerintah TDDB, Pengiran Hajah Rozedah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman. Acara-acara khas bagi isteri-isteri kepada Pemerintah dan wakil Angkatan-Angkatan Tentera Darat dari rantau Indo-Pasifik juga diadakan secara berasingan.
