PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 27 November 2023 – The Closing Ceremony of the Selection Course and 8th Essential Course of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosives Defence Unit, Royal Brunei Land Force Defence Unit (CBRE Def Unit, RBLF) took place today at the CBRE Building, Penanjong Garrison. A total of eight personnel participated in the course which took place from 7 August 2023 to 24 November 2023.
Present as Guest of Honour was Major Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Officer Commanding of CBRE Def Unit RBLF. Also present were officers and personnel of CBRE Def Unit RBLF.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Sergeant Ariffin bin Awang Salleh, followed by a speech from Lieutenant Pengiran Muhammad Masduqi bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Acting Training Officer of CBRE Def Unit RBLF.
It continued with the presentation of certificates, badges and awards. The Overall Best Student Award which includes practical and theoretical fields went to Private Md Irfan Syahmi bin Sarudin from Second Battalion, RBLF. The event concluded with a closing speech from the Guest of Honour, followed by the recitation of Doa and a group photo session.
Throughout the duration of the course, the participants have successfully attained the goals and objectives where they were taught the basic elements of the unit which are Chemical, Defence, Biology, Radiology, Bomb Disposal Basics and Search Basics.

PENANJONG GARISON, Isnin, 27 November 2023 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Pemilihan Pengambilan dan Kursus Essential ke 8 Unit Pertahanan Kimia, Biologi, Radiologi dan Letupan Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (Unit Pertahanan KBRL TDDB) telah berlangsung hari ini bertempat di Bangunan Unit Pertahanan KBRL TDDB, Penanjong Garison. Seramai lapan anggota telah menyertai kursus tersebut yang berlangsung pada 7 Ogos 2023 hingga 24 November 2023.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Pegawai Memerintah Unit Pertahanan KBRL TDDB. Turut hadir ialah pegawai – pegawai dan anggota Unit Pertahanan KBRL TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dikepalai oleh Sarjan Ariffin bin Awang Salleh, diikuti dengan ucapan dari Leftenan Pengiran Muhammad Masduqi bin Pengiran Haji Damit, Pemangku Pegawai Latihan Unit Pertahanan KBRL TDDB.
Majlis diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil, lencana dan Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan yang merangkumi bidang amali dan teori. Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik keseluruhan disandang oleh Soldadu Md Irfan Syahmi bin Sarudin dari Batalion Kedua TDDB. Majlis diakhiri dengan ucapan penutup dari Tetamu Kehormat, diikuti dengan bacaan Doa Penutup dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Matlamat dan objektif kursus telah dapat dicapai melalui peningkatan keupayaan anggota kursus terlibat agar lebih memahami elemen asas unit KBRL iaitu pertahanan kimia, biologi, radiologi, asas pemusnah bom dan asas geledah.
