BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 8 December 2023 – The closing ceremony of the Medical Assistant Trainee Induction Program (MATIP) 2023 session was held at the Medical Training Wing, Medical Services Headquarters, Bolkiah Garrison. Four Medical Assistants in Training attended the nine weeks course from 2 October 2023 until 8 December 2023.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel (Dr) Ummi Suzeyanna binti Haji Johari, Deputy Chief Medical Services (Clinical), Medical Services, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). Also present were Administrative Officer, Administrative Warrant Officer, Acting Medical Sergeant Major and Medical Training Wing Instructors.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al – Fatihah, followed by a speech and presentation of certificates by the Guest of Honour before concluding with a group photo session.
During the course, participants gained exposure to advanced clinical skills and expanded their medical knowledge. They also engaged in five weeks of clinical attachments at the Medical Reception Stations of RBLF, and an additional two weeks at the Emergency Medical Ambulance Services under the Ministry of Health. These experiences aimed to provide personnel with enhanced exposure and hands-on in functioning as medical assistants in a clinic setting, as well as equipping them with necessary skills to handle emergency cases.
MAJLIS PENUTUP MEDICAL ASSISTANT TRAINEE INDUCTION PROGRAMME (MATIP) SESI 2023
BOLKIAH GARISON, Jumaat, 8 Disember 2023 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Medical Assistant Trainee Induction Programme (MATIP) Sesi 2023 telah dikendalikan di Cawangan Latihan Perubatan, Markas Khidmat Perubatan dan Kesihatan, Bolkiah Garison. Empat Pembantu Perubatan dalam Latihan menghadiri kursus tersebut yang berlangsung selama sembilan minggu bermula 2 Oktober 2023 hingga 8 Disember 2023.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Leftenan Kolonel (Dr) Ummi Suzeyanna binti Haji Johari, Timbalan Ketua Khidmat Perubatan (Klinikal), Khidmat Perubatan dan Kesihatan, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB). Turut hadir ialah Pegawai Pentadbir, Pegawai Waran Pentadbir, Pemangku Sarjan Mejar Perubatan dan jurulatih – jurulatih Cawangan Latihan Perubatan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan ucapan dan penyampaian sijil kepada peserta – peserta Kursus MATIP sebelum diakhiri dengan sesi bergambar ramai.
Sepanjang kursus, Pembantu Perubatan dalam Latihan ditempatkan selama lima minggu di Pusat – pusat Khidmat Perubatan dan Kesihatan TDDB, dan selama dua minggu di Perkhidmatan Kecemasan Ambulan Perubatan di bawah Kementerian Kesihatan untuk mendapat pendedahan dan pengalaman bertugas sebagai Pembantu Perubatan di klinik dan merawat kes – kes kecemasan dalam menyelamatkan nyawa.
