BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 17 March 2023 – The Junior Officer Tactics Course 2022 officially ended with a Closing Ceremony at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison. A total of 49 course participants from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) had successfully passed the course which was conducted from 23 January 2023 until 10 March 2023.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Colonel Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Field Commander Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). Also present were Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry RBLF, Senior Officers, Officers, and Directing Staff Officers of the course.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Mujadilah from verse 11 to verse 13 by Lieutenant Mohammad Zulfitri bin Haji Zoferi. It continued with a video presentation and course review by Major Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, Acting Officer Commanding, Officer Development Wing. The ceremony was followed by the presentation of certificates and closing speech by the Guest of Honour.
In his speech, he emphasised the objective of the course was to improve personal development and to strive hard in carrying out duties and responsibilities in their respective units. The knowledge and experience gained is necessary to shoulder the responsibility that has been entrusted to them as effective and efficient leaders within RBAF. He also highlighted that the course participants are role models for junior officers and their subordinates under their responsibility, which includes maintaining a high standard of physical fitness, discipline, and piety towards Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. The ceremony ended with the official closing of the Junior Officer Tactics Course 2022.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS JUNIOR OFFICER TACTICS COURSE 2022
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat, 17 Mac 2023 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Junior Officer Tactics Course (JOTC) 2022 yang dihadiri oleh seramai 49 Pegawai-pegawai Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah diadakan pada hari ini bertempat di Mes Pegawai, Berakas Garison. Kursus tersebut telah berlangsung bermula 23 Januari 2023 hingga 10 Mac 2023.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Kolonel Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Pemerintah Medan Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB). Turut hadir ialah Pegawai Pemerintah Sekolah Infantri TDDB, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-pegawai jemputan serta Pegawai-pegawai Juruarah kursus berkenaan.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan surah Al-Fatihah dan bacaan Surah Al-Mujadilah dari ayat 11 hingga ayat 13 oleh Leftenan Mohammad Zulfitri bin Haji Zoferi. Majlis diteruskan lagi dengan tayangan video di sepanjang pelaksanaan kursus dan ulasan kursus yang disampaikan oleh Mejar Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, Pemangku Pegawai Memerintah, Cawangan Perkembangan Pegawai. Seterusnya ialah penyampaian sijil kepada peserta-peserta kursus yang disempurnakan oleh tetamu kehormat dan ucapan penutup.
Melalui ucapan tersebut, beliau menekankan objektif kursus ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pembangunan sahsiah diri dan menggalakkan semua peserta kursus agar terus berusaha gigih dalam menjalankan tugas dan tanggungjawab di unit masing-masing. Ilmu pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang telah diperolehi amat diperlukan selaku barisan pemimpin di dalam ABDB yang efektif dan efisien. Beliau juga mengingatkan supaya menjadi contoh yang baik kepada anggota di bawah tanggungjawab mereka iaitu mengekalkan tahap kecergasan jasmani yang tinggi, berdisiplin dan bertakwa kepada Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala. Majlis diakhiri dengan penutupan rasmi Junior Officer Tactics Course 2022.
