SUNGAI AKAR CAMP, Wednesday, 24 May 2023 – The closing ceremony for the Self-Defense Combat (SDC) Course was held today at the Briefing Room, Royal Guards Regiment (RGdR) Headquarters, Sungai Akar Camp. This year’s SDC course participants consisted of 14 personnel from RGdR RBLF which was conducted from 3 May 2023 to 19 May 2023.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Norranellwi bin Siaran/Searan, Commanding Officer of RGdR RBLF. Also present were officers of RGdR RBLF and instructors.
The event commenced with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the showcase of video of the activities throughout the course and continued with the presentation of badges as well as the certificates which was handed by the Guest of Honour to all SDC Course participants.
The course aims to enhance skills and competency in self-defence combat in line with the tasks/responsibility as personnel of RGdR RBLF. This will also provide sufficient preparation and enhance the confidence of RGdR RBLF personnel in facing threats and obstacles while carrying out their duties. In addition, the participants were also advised to always maintain self-discipline and instil a fighting spirit throughout the course.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS BELA DIRI TEMPUR REJIMEN PENGAWAL DIRAJA TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI
PERKHEMAHAN SUNGAI AKAR, Rabu, 24 Mei 2023 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Bela Diri Tempur (BDT) bagi tahun 2023 telah diadakan pada hari ini bertempat di Bilik Taklimat, Markas Rejimen Pengawal Diraja (RPD), Perkhemahan Sungai Akar. Seramai 14 anggota RPD TDDB telah menghadiri kursus berkenaan yang telah berlangsung bermula 3 Mei 2023 hingga 19 Mei 2023.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Norranellwi bin Siaran/Searan, Pegawai Pemerintah RPD TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai-Pegawai RPD TDDB dan jurulatih-jurulatih yang terlibat.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan tayangan video peserta kursus sepanjang kursus dan penyampaian lencana-lencana serta sijil-sijil yang disempurnakan oleh Tetamu Kehormat kepada semua peserta kursus BDT.
Kursus ini berpeluang untuk menambah kemahiran dan kompetensi dalam bela diri tempur sejajar dengan tugas dan tanggungjawab anggota sebagai Pengawal Diraja. Ia juga memberi anggota persiapan yang cukup dan meningkatkan keyakinan warga RPD TDDB dalam menghadapi jenis ancaman dan cabaran semasa menjalankan tugas. Di samping itu, peserta kursus juga dinasihatkan agar sentiasa menjaga disiplin diri dan menanam semangat perjuangan sepanjang kursus ini dijalankan.
