PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday 24 June 2022 - The Closing Ceremony of the Junior Officer Tactics Course (JOTC) 2021 was held at the Officers’ Mess, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 30 course participants from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces officers had successfully passed the course which was conducted for nine weeks, starting from 10 January to 11 March 2022.
Present as the Guest of Honor was Lieutenant Colonel Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force. Also present was Lieutenant Colonel Haji Mohammed Airul Wizam bin Haji Ahmad, Commanding Officer of School of Infantry RBLF, as well as Senior Officers, Invited guest Officers and Directing Staff Officers.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Mujadilah from verse 11 to verse 13 by Lieutenant Mohd Afiq bin Haji Janaidi. The ceremony continued with the course video presentation and a course review by Major Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, Acting Officer Commanding, Officer Development Wing. This was followed by the certificate presentation to the course participants by the Guest of Honor. The Best Student Award was held by Lieutenant Azyyati binti Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Kassim, from the RBLF Headquarters.
In his closing speech, the Guest of Honor touched on the importance of the military planning process and the awareness of and knowledge of the contemporary operating environment. He urged the course participants to be critical as well as creative as the best plan is the one that can be readapted to the changing situation. In addition, the Guest of Honor reminded the course participants to be well prepared for the next level of their career progression and to be able to contribute intellectual thoughts or ideas, as well as to be exemplary towards subordinates. The ceremony ended with a congratulatory word from the Guest of Honor and the official closing of the Junior Officer Tactics Course 2021.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS JUNIOR OFFICER TACTICS COURSE 2021
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat 24 Jun 2022 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Junior Officer Tactics Course (JOTC) 2021 telah diadakan di Mes Pegawai, Penanjong Garison. Seramai 30 peserta kursus terdiri daripada Pegawai-Pegawai Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei mendapat keputusan lulus dalam kursus yang telah dijalankan selama sembilan minggu, bermula dari 10 Januari hingga 11 Mac 2022.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Leftenan Kolonel Haji Mohammad Shanonnizam bin Sulaiman, Pemangku Timbalan Pegawai Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei. Turut hadir bagi acara tersebut ialah Leftenan Kolonel Haji Mohammed Airul Wizam bin Haji Ahmad, Pegawai Pemerintah Sekolah Infantri TDDB, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-Pegawai jemputan serta Pegawai-Pegawai Juruarah.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan surah Al-Fatihah dan bacaan Surah Al-Mujadilah dari ayat 11 hingga ayat 13 oleh Leftenan Mohd Afiq bin Haji Janaidi. Majlis diteruskan dengan tayangan video di sepanjang perlaksanaan kursus dan ulasan kursus oleh Mejar Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, Pemangku Pegawai Memerintah, Cawangan Perkembangan Pegawai. Ini diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil kepada peserta-peserta kursus oleh Tetamu Kehormat. Anugerah Pelajar Terbaik telah disandang oleh Leftenan Azyyati binti Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Kassim dari Markas TDDB.
Dalam ucapan penutup beliau, Tetamu Kehormat mengingatkan akan kepentingan proses perancangan ketenteraan dan kepekaan serta pengetahuan dalam contemporary operating environment. Beliau menasihatkan agar semua peserta kursus supaya lebih kritikal dan kreatif memandangkan perancangan yang effektif adalah yang dapat disesuaikan dengan situasi terkini. Beliau juga menyarankan agar peserta-peserta kursus untuk bersiapsedia dalam menempuhi peringkat kerjaya seterusnya dan dapat menyumbangkan buah fikiran serta menjadi contoh terbaik kepada orang bawahan. Majlis diakhiri dengan ucapan tahniah daripada Tetamu Kehormat dan dengan secara rasminya menutup Junior Officer Tactics Course 2021.
