BENUTAN TUTONG, Saturday 15 December 2018 – The closing ceremony of Exercise Mallee Bull 2018 involving personnel from Second Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force (2Bn RBLF) and the 20/30th Platoon Training Group, Australian Army was held at Benutan, Tutong.
Present as the guest of honour for the ceremony was Colonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail, Chief of Staff RBLF. Also present for the ceremony was Brigadier Peter Moore, Commander 13th Brigade Royal Australian Army, Miss Carol Allnut, Deputy Head of Mission, Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Hauser, Assistant Defence Advisor and Lieutenant Colonel Pg Mohammad Shamsul Reza bin Pg Dato Paduka Haji Tengah, Commanding Officer of 2Bn RBLF.
The ceremony commenced with the exercise brief and the demonstration of the final attack. The ceremony then proceeded with the guests of honour removing the armbands of key personnel involved in the exercise, followed by the closing remarks and an exchange of souvenirs. The ceremony concluded with the recital of doa and a photo session.
The exercise allows the integrated deployment of ground troops of both armies to enhance interoperability and to also provide an opportunity to train and improve the skills of military personnel of both countries in the planning and implementation of infantry operations.
UPACARA PENUTUP BAGI EKSESAIS MALLEE BULL 2018
BENUTAN TUTONG, Sabtu 15 Disember 2018 – Upacara Penutup bagi Eksesais Mallee Bull 2018 yang melibatkan anggota-anggota daripada Batalion Kedua Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (2Bn TDDB) dan
2/30 Training Group Royal Australian Army telah dilaksanakan di kawasan Hutan Benutan, Tutong.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis ialah Yang Mulia Kolonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail, Ketua Staf TDDB. Juga hadir di upacara tersebut ialah Brigadier Peter Moore,
Commander of 13th Brigade Royal Australian Army, Miss Caroll Allnut,
Deputy Head of Mission, Leftenan Kolonel Daniel Hauser, Assistant Defence Advisor dan Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Pg Mohammad Shamsul Reza bin Pg Dato Paduka Haji Tengah, Pegawai Pemerintah Batalion Kedua TDDB.
Upacara dimulakan dengan taklimat Eksesais diikuti dengan persembahan serangan akhir keatas objektif musuh oleh Anggota 2Bn TDDB dan Kontinjen Australia. Upacara diteruskan dengan perlucutan TOHA pegawai -pegawai yang dilantik untuk Eksesais, penyampaian ucapan rasmi penutup bagi Eksesais Mallee Bull 2018 dan pertukaran cenderahati. Upacara diakhiri dengan bacaan doa selamat dan bergambar ramai dengan anggota yang terlibat.
Eksesais MalleeBull 2018 membolehkan pengintegrasian kedua-duta tentera dalam pergerakan diatas tanah untuk menaik taraf kerjasma diantara kedua belah pihak dan juga memberi peluang untuk melatih dan meningkatkan kemahiran anggota tentera kedua-dua negara dalam perancangan dan pelaksanaan operasi infantri.
