PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 21st March 2024 – The closing ceremony of the Drill Instructor Course Series 2/2023 took place at Theatre 1 Block C, School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF). A total of 32 participants successfully completed the course comprising of personnel from various units of Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Prisons Department. The eight-week course commenced from 25th January 2024 until 21st March 2024 and was conducted by the Drill Instructor Wing, SOI RBLF.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Nor Muhammad Saufi @ Nikmat bin Ahmad, Acting Deputy Commanding Officer of SOI RBLF. Also present were officers, invited guests, School Sergeant Major, Head of Training Wings and instructors.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al – Fatihah, followed by opening remarks from Staff Sergeant Azmin bin Othman, Conducting Instructor from the Drill Instructor Wing, SOI RBLF. The ceremony proceeded with the presentation of certificates to the course participants and presentation of awards by the Guest of Honour.
The Best Practical Award was awarded to Lance Corporal Mohd Aqmal bin Kafali from Second Battalion RBLF. Meanwhile, Wardress Nurul Khairiah binti Kamal from the Prisons Department emerged as the Best Theory and Best Overall Student. The ceremony concluded with a speech and official closing of the course by the Guest of Honour, Closing Doa and a group photo session.
This course is a mandatory course especially for the Infantry Battalions of RBLF who carry the rank of Private to Sergeant. It serves to qualify participants to become skilled and knowledgeable drill instructors.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS JURULATIH KAWAD SIRI 2/2023
PENANJONG GARISON, KHAMIS, 21 Mac 2024 – Sekolah Infantri Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (SI TDDB) telah mengendalikan Majlis Penutup Kursus Jurulatih kawad Siri 2/2023 bertempat di Bilik Kuliah 1, Blok C, SI TDDB. Seramai 32 peserta telah berjaya menamatkan kursus tersebut yang terdiri daripada anggota-anggota dari pelbagai unit Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei. Kursus ini telah berlangsung selama lapan minggu bermula pada 25 Januari 2024 hingga 21 Mac 2024 yang dikendalikan oleh Cawangan Jurulatih Kawad, SI TDDB.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat bagi menyampaikan sijil-sijil penutup kursus tersebut ialah Mejar Nor Muhammad Saufi @ Nikmat bin Ahmad, Pemangku Timbalan Pegawai Pemerintah, SI TDDB. Turut hadir pada majlis tamat kursus ini adalah pegawai-pegawai, dan jemputan-jemputan, Sekolah Sarjan Mejar, ketua – ketua cawangan, dan jurulatih-jurulatih.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah diikuti dengan ucapan dari Staf Sarjan Azmin bin Othman selaku jurulatih dari Cawangan Jurulatih Kawad, SI TDDB. Majlis diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil kepada semua peserta kursus dan penyampaian anugerah penuntut terbaik yang disempurnakan oleh Tetamu Kehormat.
Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik Praktikal bagi kursus tersebut disandang oleh Las Koperal Mohd Aqmal bin Kafali daripada unit Batalion Kedua TDDB. Manakala, Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik Teori dan Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan dianugerahkan kepada Wadar Wanita Nurul Khairiah binti Kamal daripada Jabatan Penjara. Majlis diakhiri dengan ucapan penutup kursus dari Tetamu Kehormat, bacaan Doa Penutup dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Kursus ini adalah salah satu kursus mandatori yang wajib dihadiri khasnya daripada Batalion Infantri TDDB yang berpangkat sarjan membawa ke peringkat soldadu dan ianya ini bertujuan untuk membolehkan peserta-peserta kursus untuk mahir serta berpengetahuan sebagai jurulatih kawad.
