PENANJONG GARISON, Thursday, 30 June 2022 – The closing ceremony for the All Arm Staff and Tactic Course (AASTC) 2022 commenced at the Officers’ Mess, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 16 officers from the Land Vocation from various units had completed the course which started from 09 May 2022 until 01 July 2022.
Present as the guest of honour, Brigadier General Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Commander Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). Also present were Lieutenant Colonel Pengiran Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, Commandant of Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Haji Mohammed Airul Wizam bin Haji Ahmad, Commanding Officer School of Infantry and RBLF and senior officers.
The event began with a group photo session and proceeded with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah An-Nisa verse 58 to 63 by Major Zulazri bin Gapor. The ceremony continued with welcoming remarks and a short course review by Major Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, Acting Officer Commanding, Officers Development Wing, School of Infantry RBLF followed by the presentation of certificates by the guest of honour. The Best Student Award was awarded to Major Mohammad Aji bin Haji Abdul Rahman from Third Battalion RBLF for his outstanding achievements throughout the course. The event concluded with congratulatory remarks, and the official closing of the All Arm Staff and Tactic Course (AASTC) 2022.
Part of the speech delivered by the Guest of Honor was that he hoped that what has been learned and obtained by course participants will be expanded and improved the approach of performing daily tasks either as officers holding the position of in Command or Staff. In addition, the Guest of Honor also expects from the course participants to quickly develop their learnings, to be more critical in their analysis, as well as to be flexible/versatile with the process of ‘Critical Thinking’.
The eight-week course aims to equip officers with the fundamental knowledge of Battalion Commanders and Brigade Staff Officers to the Operational Military Appreciation Process. The course also serves to develop the officers to become more competent and self-assured, capable of delivering sensible decisions as well as planning at the Operational to Strategic level.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS ALL ARM STAFF AND TACTIC COURSE (AASTC) 2022
PENANJONG GARISON, Khamis, 30 Jun 2022 – Majlis Penutup bagi All Arm Staff and Tactic Course (AASTC) 2022 telah selamat disempurnakan di Mes Pegawai, Penanjong Garison. Seramai 16 pegawai TDDB dari pelbagai unit telah menghadiri kursus tersebut yang telah dijalankan bermula dari 09 Mei 2022 sehingga 01 Julai 2022.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Brigedier Jeneral Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB). Turut hadir dalam majlis tersebut ialah Leftenan Kolonel Pengiran Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, Komandan Institut Latihan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, Leftenan Kolonel Haji Mohammed Airul Wizam bin Haji Ahmad, Pegawai Pemerintah Sekolah Infantri TDDB dan Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan acara sesi bergambar ramai dan diteruskan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan bacaan Surah An-Nisa dari ayat 58 hingga ayat 63 oleh Mejar Zulazri bin Gapor. Majlis diteruskan dengan ucapan alu-aluan, ulasan perjalanan kursus oleh Mejar Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, Pemangku Pegawai Memerintah, Cawangan Perkembangan Pegawai, Sekolah Infantri TDDB dan diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil oleh tetamu kehormat. Anugerah Pelajar Terbaik disandang oleh Mejar Mohammad Aji bin Haji Abdul Rahman dari unit Batalion Ketiga TDDB di atas pencapaian cemerlang beliau di sepanjang kursus tersebut. Acara diakhiri dengan ucapan tahniah daripada tetamu kehormat dan penutupan secara rasmi All Arm Staff and Tactic Course (AASTC) 2022.
Di antara isi kandungan ucapan penutup kursus yang disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat ialah diharapkan agar apa yang telah dipelajari dan diperolehi oleh peserta kursus akan diperkembangkan luas serta dipertingkatkan pendekatan tatacara melaksanakan tugas seharian samaada sebagai pegawai yang memegang jawatan Command ataupun Staff. Selain itu, Tetamu Kehormat juga mengharapkan daripada peserta-peserta kursus untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran dengan cepat, bersikap kritis dalam analisis, mahupun jua tidak terlalu kaku dengan proses ‘Critical thinking’.
Kursus lapan minggu itu bertujuan untuk melengkapkan pegawai dengan pengetahuan asas Komander Batalion dan Pegawai Staf Briged kepada Operational Military Appreciation Process (OMAP). Kursus ini juga berfungsi untuk membangunkan pegawai menjadi lebih cekap dan yakin diri, mampu membuat keputusan yang wajar serta merancang di peringkat Operasi hingga Strategik.
