PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 21st June 2024 – The opening ceremony for the All Arm Staff and Tactic Course (AASTC) 2024 was held at the School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Force, Penanjong Garrison. A total of five RBLF Officers, one Officer from the Ministry of Defence and One officer from the Malaysian Army are attending the course.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Acting Deputy Commander of RBLF. Also in attendance were Colonel Haji Nor Azizi bin Abdullah, Defence Adviser of Malaysia to Negara Brunei Darussalam, and RBLF Senior Officers and Officers.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Ali Imran (verse 123 – 126) led by Major Haji Mohammad Fadhil bin Dato Paduka Haji Md Said, course participants’ representative, followed by an opening remarks from the Guest of Honour.
In his remarks, he stated that the course will enable participants to challenge their thought process, hence exercising their critical thinking abilities in preparing and adapting oneself towards a dynamic operational environment. He further emphasised on the importance of actively partaking in the manner of collaboration.
AASTC 2024 is an eight-week course aim to mainly train officers in planning and executing roles as Battalion Commanders and Staff Officer Grade 2 at the brigade and joint level.
MAJLIS PEMBUKAAN BAGI KURSUS ALL ARM STAFF AND TACTIC (AASTC) 2024
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 21 Jun 2024 – Majlis pembukaan bagi Kursus All Arm Staff and Tactic (AASTC) 2024 telah diadakan bertempat di Sekolah Infantri, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, Penanjong Garison. Seramai lima Pegawai TDDB, seorang Pegawai dari Kementerian Pertahanan dan seorang Pegawai dari Tentera Darat Malaysia mengikuti kursus tersebut.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Leftenan Kolonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Pemangku Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Kolonel Haji Nor Azizi bin Abdullah, Penasihat Pertahanan Malaysia ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Surah Ali Imran (ayat 123 – 126) yang diketuai oleh Mejar Haji Mohammad Fadhil bin Dato Paduka Haji Md Said, wakil peserta kursus, dan diikuti dengan ucapan perasmian oleh Tetamu Kehormat.
Semasa ucapan, Tetamu Kehormat menyatakan bahawa kursus tersebut akan dapat menguji proses pemikiran peserta, dan seterusnya melatih kebolehan daya pemikiran yang kritikal dalam mempersiapkan dan menyesuaikan diri ke arah persekitaran operasi yang dinamik. Beliau seterusnya menekankan mengenai kepentingan untuk mengambil bahagian secara aktif dengan berkerjasama.
