PENANJONG GARRISON, Wednesday, 1st July 2026 – The closing event for the Intermediate CBRE Course and CBRE Essential Course Session 2026 was held at the Parade Square, Headquarters Combined Arms Training Centre, Royal Brunei Land Forces (CATC RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of 11 participants from the Second Squadron, Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive, Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Sqn (CBRE) Engr Regt RBLF), comprising one officer and 10 personnel, have successfully completed the 13-week course conducted by the Specialist Engineer Wing, School of Engineers, CATC RBLF, from 1st April to 1st July 2026.
The event was officiated by Lieutenant Colonel Kamarul Reza bin Haji Ramli, Acting Commandant of CATC RBLF. The programme commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a course review, presentation of certificates and awards, and closing remarks by the Guest of Honour.
The Overall Best Award and the Best Practical Award were presented to Private Awangku Muhd Aiman Izuddin bin Pengiran Yahya from 2Sqn (CBRE) Engr Regt RBLF. Meanwhile, the Best Theory Award was presented to Private Reqmal Hafiziee bin Raba, also from 2Sqn (CBRE) Engr Regt RBLF.
The Intermediate CBRE Course is a mandatory career development programme for personnel of 2Sqn (CBRE) Engr Regt RBLF and a prerequisite for promotion within the unit. The CBRE Essential Course, meanwhile, provides newly assigned officers and personnel with the foundational knowledge and skills required before undertaking operational duties. Both courses equip participants with the competencies to respond effectively to CBRE threats and incidents, with emphasis on Search, Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) operations, as well as Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD), preparing them for key operational roles within the unit.
PENUTUP KURSUS PERTENGAHAN KBRL DAN KBRL ESSENTIAL 2026
PENANJONG GARISON, Rabu, 01 Julai 2026 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Pertengahan Kimia, Biologi, Radiologi dan Letupan (KBRL) dan KBRL Essential Sesi 2026 telah diadakan di Padang Kawad, Markas Pusat Latihan Gabungan Tempur, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (PULGAT TDDB), Penanjong Garison. Seramai 11 peserta daripada Skuadron Kedua (Kimia, Biologi, Radiologi dan Letupan), Rejimen Jurutera, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (2Skn (KBRL) RJ TDDB), yang terdiri daripada seorang pegawai dan 10 anggota, telah berjaya menamatkan kursus yang berlangsung selama 13 minggu yang dikendalikan oleh Cawangan Jurutera Pakar, Sekolah Jurutera, PULGAT TDDB bermula dari 1 April hingga 1 Julai 2026.
Turut hadir bagi menyempurnakan majlis ialah Leftenan Kolonel Kamarul Reza bin Haji Ramli, Pemangku Komandan PULGAT TDDB. Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah, diikuti dengan ulasan kursus, penyampaian sijil dan anugerah, serta ucapan penutup oleh Tetamu Kehormat.
Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan dan Praktikal Terbaik disandang oleh Soldadu Awangku Muhd Aiman Izuddin bin Pengiran Yahya daripada 2Skn (KBRL) RJ TDDB. Manakala, anugerah Teori Terbaik disandang oleh Soldadu Reqmal Hafiziee bin Raba, juga daripada 2Skn (KBRL) RJ TDDB.
Kursus Pertengahan KBRL merupakan kursus pembangunan kerjaya yang diwajibkan bagi anggota 2Skn (KBRL) RJ TDDB serta menjadi salah satu syarat kenaikan pangkat dalam unit tersebut. Sementara itu, Kursus KBRL Essential menyediakan pengetahuan dan kemahiran asas kepada pegawai dan anggota yang baharu ditugaskan sebelum melaksanakan tugas operasi. Kedua-dua kursus ini bertujuan melengkapkan peserta dengan kompetensi untuk bertindak balas secara berkesan terhadap ancaman dan insiden KBRL, dengan penekanan kepada operasi Search, Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR), serta Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD), sebagai persediaan untuk memegang peranan operasi yang penting dalam unit.
