BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 24 September 2026 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) hosted the 2nd Brunei-Singapore Army Working Group 2026 (2nd BSAWG 2026) with the Singapore Army at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
The meeting was co-chaired by Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, RBLF Chief of Staff, and Colonel Danny Poh, Assistant Chief of the General Staff (Training)/Deputy Commander of Training and Doctrine Command. Also in attendance were representatives from various RBAF units, the Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore to Brunei Darussalam, as well as delegates from the Singapore Army.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks by Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, followed by remarks from Colonel Danny Poh. The 2nd BSAWG served as a platform for both Armies to review bilateral activities and engagements conducted from 2025 to 2026, as well as ongoing activities for 2026 to 2027. Discussions covered various bilateral activities, including courses, exchange and official visits, professional engagements, meetings, training activities and other related programmes.
The meeting also provided an opportunity for both Armies to coordinate and deliberate on proposed activities for year 2027 to 2028, aimed at further strengthening bilateral cooperation, enhancing professional exchanges and developing interoperability between both Armies.
The 2nd BSAWG concluded with the signing of the Minutes of Meeting, reaffirming the commitment of both Armies to further strengthen the longstanding defence relations and cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
MESYUARAT KUMPULAN KERJA DARAT KEDUA ANTARA BRUNEI-SINGAPURA
BERAKAS GARISON, Khamis, 24 September 2026 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menjadi tuan rumah bagi Mesyuarat Kumpulan Kerja Darat Kedua Antara Brunei-Singapura (2nd BSAWG 2026) bersama Tentera Darat Singapura yang berlangsung di Mes Pegawai, Berakas Garison.
Mesyuarat tersebut dipengerusikan bersama oleh Kolonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Ketua Staf TDDB, dan Kolonel Danny Poh, Assistant Chief of the General Staff (Training)/Deputy Commander of Training and Doctrine Command. Turut hadir ialah wakil-wakil daripada pelbagai unit ABDB, Atase Pertahanan Republik Singapura ke Negara Brunei Darussalam serta delegasi Tentera Darat Singapura.
Mesyuarat dimulakan dengan ucapan pembukaan oleh Kolonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, diikuti dengan ucapan daripada Kolonel Danny Poh. 2nd BSAWG menjadi platform bagi kedua-dua Angkatan Darat untuk meneliti semula aktiviti dan penglibatan dua hala yang telah dilaksanakan bagi tempoh 2025 hingga 2026, serta aktiviti yang sedang dilaksanakan bagi tempoh 2026 hingga 2027. Perbincangan merangkumi pelbagai aktiviti dua hala termasuk kursus, lawatan pertukaran dan lawatan rasmi, penglibatan profesional, mesyuarat, aktiviti latihan serta program-program berkaitan.
Mesyuarat tersebut turut memberi peluang kepada kedua-dua Angkatan Darat untuk menyelaras dan membincangkan cadangan aktiviti bagi tempoh tahun 2027 hingga 2028, ke arah memperkukuh kerjasama dua hala, meningkatkan pertukaran profesional serta mengembangkan kesalingoperasian antara kedua-dua Angkatan Darat.
2nd BSAWG diakhiri dengan penandatanganan Minit Mesyuarat yang menegaskan komitmen kedua-dua Angkatan Darat untuk terus memperkukuh hubungan pertahanan dan kerjasama yang telah lama terjalin antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.
