COMPLETION OF DRILL INSTRUCTOR COURSE AND BASIC SILENT PRECISION DRILL SQUAD COURSE
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 3rd July 2025 – The School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF) has concluded its Drill Instructor Course and Basic Silent Precision Drill Squad Course in a closing event held at SOI RBLF, Penanjong Garrison. The course was conducted from 17th April 2025 until 3rd July 2025, organised by the Drill Instructor Wing, SOI RBLF. A total of 21 personnel had attended the course comprising of RBLF, Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) and Royal Brunei Airforce (RBAirF).
MEDICAL SERVICES PARTICIPATE IN THE 12TH ASEAN CHIEFS OF MILITARY MEDICINE CONFERENCE (ACMMC)
JAKARTA, REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA, Thursday, 3rd July 2025 – A delegation from the Medical Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) participated in the 12th ASEAN Chiefs of Military Medicine Conference (ACMMC) held from 30th June to 2nd July 2025 at Mangkuluhur Artotel Suites Jakarta, Republic of Indonesia. Hosted by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (Tentara Nasional Indonesia, TNI), the three-day event brought together military medical leaders and professionals from ASEAN nations and Timor-Leste under the theme “Enhancing ASEAN Military Medicine Cooperation From Global Crises to the Era of Artificial Intelligence Technology.”
CLOSING EVENT MARKS END OF PLATOON COMPETITION AND PLATOON DRILL COMPETITION
BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday, 1st July 2025 – The First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (1Bn RBLF) has concluded its Platoon Competition and Platoon Drill Competition, culminating in a spirited closing event at the 1Bn RBLF Parade Square, Berakas Garrison. The Platoon Competition began from 3rd until 25th June 2025, while the Platoon Drill Competition was held from 24th until 26th June 2025. In attendance to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, RBLF Field Commander.v
COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORTS THROUGH CLEANING CAMPAIGN INITIATIVES
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Tuesday, 1st July 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) conducted community outreach activities through cleaning campaign initiatives held at several mosques and Muslim cemeteries across all districts in Brunei Darussalam throughout the month of June. The cleaning campaign includes Madang Mosque, Kampung Kilanas Mosque, Sungai Liang Mosque, Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque Kampung Jerudong, Rashidah Sa’datul Bolkiah Mosque, Kampung Panchor Murai Mosque, Lubok Pulau Mosque, Benutan Muslim Cemetry, Kampung Belimbing Subok Muslim Cemetry, Terunjing Muslim Cemetry, Kampung Sengkarai Muslim Cemetry, Pusara Islam An’naem Anduki Muslim Cemetry, Lubok Pulau Muslim Cemetry, Datu Umpong Muslim Cemetry and Pulau Raya Muslim Cemetry Kampung Penanjong.
FIRST BATTALION JOINS HIJRAH WALKATHON IN TEMBURONG DISTRICT
BANGAR, Sunday, 29th June 2025 – Echo Company First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (E Coy 1Bn RBLF) participated in a Hijrah walkathon organised by Temburong District Religious Affairs in conjunction with the Ilal Hijrah Celebration at Da’wah Post Kampung Selapon as part of promoting healthy and active living in the district.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 26th June 2025 – In conjunction with the New Year of 1447 Hijrah, Brunei Darussalam celebrated the Ilal Hijrah at all mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide. The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held the event simultaneously at all RBLF Suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque with the focal event held at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison.
THE CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE CBRE PIONEER COURSE SESSION 2025
PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 26th June 2025 – Closing ceremony for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosive (CBRE) Pioneer Course 2025 was recently held at the Engineer Regiment Headquarters, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of 10 participants have successfully completed the course which was conducted by the Specialist Engineer Wing, School of Engineer (SOE) Engr Regt RBLF from 7th April 2025 to 26th June 2025.
‘E’ COMPANY FIRST BATTALION RBLF HOLDS EDUCATIONAL VISIT FROM IBTE NAKHODA RAGAM CAMPUS
BANGAR CAMP, Wednesday, 18 June 2025 – ‘E’ Company First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (‘E’ Company 1Bn RBLF) received an educational visit from Library Club, IBTE Nakhoda Ragam Campus with a group of 35 students accompanied by 10 teachers at Bangar Camp. The students were welcomed by Captain Mohd Rahimin bin Haji Ahmad, Officer Commanding, ‘E’ Company 1Bn RBLF.

JAKARTA, Saturday, 14th June 2025 – Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, Chief of Staff of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), attended the 10th Indo Defence 2025 Expo and Forum hosted by the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was held from 11 to 14 June 2025 at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Jakarta, under the theme “Defence Partnerships for Global Peace and Stability.”

NANJING, PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, Saturday, 14 June 2025 – The 20th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Seminar Plus Experts’ Working Group on Peacekeeping Operations (ADMM-Plus EWG on PKO) was recently held at the Yangzi River International Conference Center Hotel, Nanjing, People’s Republic of China from 11 to 14 June 2025 with the theme of “Technology & Innovation: Enhancing Military Cooperation in Peacekeeping Operations”.
KHATAM AL-QURAN CEREMONY IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCES 63rd ANNIVERSARY
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 13th June 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony in conjunction with the RBLF 63rd Anniversary. In attendance at Surau Al-Fa’izun, Berakas Garrison was Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander RBLF and were joined by Senior officers, Officers and RBLF personnel. Similar event was also held simultaneously at all RBLF suraus including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque attended by respective officers and personnel, while the RBLF Field Headquarters and School of Infantry at Surau Al-Hikmah, Penanjong Garrison.
ELEVATING OPERATIONAL READINESS THROUGH INTERMEDIATE OFFICER TACTICS COURSE
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 13th June 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) proudly marked the successful conclusion of its Intermediate Officer Tactics Course (IOTC) with a closing event held at the Officers’ Mess Berakas Garrison. In attendance to officiate the closing was Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander of RBLF. A total of thirty-six officers consisting of sixteen from the RBLF, one from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), three from the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), one from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) RBAF and fifteen from the Ministry of Defence, had successfully completed the course which started from 14 April to 6 June 2025.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday, 12th June 2025 – The Platoon Commander and Platoon Sergeant Battle Courses have officially come to an end, marking the successful conclusion of a rigorous and purpose-driven phase of training. In attendance to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Field Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held at the Parade Square, School of Infantry (SOI) in Penanjong Garrison.
