INTERMEDIATE COMMUNICATION INFORMATION SYSTEM COURSE CLOSING CEREMONY
PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 15th August 2025 – The Intermediate Communication Information System Course concluded with a certificate presentation and closing ceremony at the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of 24 participants completed the course, comprising 21 personnel from the RBLF, two from the Royal Brunei Air Force, and one from the Special Forces Regiment. The course was conducted from 26 May 2025 to 15 August 2025. The closing was officiated by Major Ahmad Bohare bin Mansor, Acting Commanding Officer SOI RBLF.
SIX RBLF OFFICERS GRADUATED AT THE 37th UNIVERSITI BRUNEI DARUSSALAM CONVOCATION
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday 13th August 2025 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Chancellor of Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), consented to grace the 37th Convocation Ceremony of UBD and presented certificates to graduates held at the Chancellor Hall, UBD. His Royal Highness Prince (Dr) Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Pro-Chancellor of UBD, also attended the ceremony.
EXERCISE MALBRU SETIA 17/2025 AND MERTAK BERSATU 15/2025 FINAL PLANNING CONFERENCE
MALAYSIA, Monday, 11th August 2025 – The Final Planning Conference (FPC) for Exercise MALBRU SETIA 17/2025 and Exercise MERTAK BERSATU 15/2025 between the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) and the Malaysian Army were held concurrently at Sri Miri Camp, Sarawak, and Paradise Camp, Kota Belud, Sabah from 7th to 9th August 2025. The conference brought together the First Battalion (1Bn) RBLF and the 20th Battalion of the Royal Malay Army Regiment (20 Rejimen Askar Melayu Diraja, RAMD) of the Malaysian Army, focusing on ensuring that the training objectives and outcomes for both armies are met.
COMMANDER OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCES PROMOTED TO BRIGADIER GENERAL
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 8th August 2025 – With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Colonel Aldi bin Haji Hassan, was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General today.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 8th August 2025 - With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 108 Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) officers including 75 officers from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) were promoted in a ceremony held at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison.
20TH EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR SENIOR GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS OPENING CEREMONY
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Monday, 4th August 2025 - Nine Senior Officers from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) are attending the 20th Executive Development Programme for Senior Government Officials in Public Policy and Management (EDP 20/2025) under the Ministry of Defence held at the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (SHHBIDSS), Bolkiah Garrison from 4 August to 7 November 2025. The opening ceremony was officiated by Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence.
ROYAL BRUNEI LAND FORCES WELCOMES NEW COMMANDER
BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 1st August 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) today marked a significant milestone as Colonel Aldi bin Haji Hassan officially assumed appointment as the new Commander of the RBLF in a Parade Ceremony held at the First Battalion (1Bn RBLF) Parade Square, Berakas Garrison. In attendance during the ceremony were the Deputy Commander, Field Commander, Chief of Staff, Senior Officers, Officers and Land Forces Sergeant Major and RBLF personnel.
RBLF PARTICIPATES IN 2nd JAPAN-ASEAN WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY COOPERATION PROJECT
TOKYO, JAPAN, Friday, 01 August 2025 – Major Afifah binti Haji Ali Hassan from the Medical Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), accompanied by Captain (U) Fathin ‘Athifah binti Haji Abidin from the Support Group, Royal Brunei Air Force, had attended the Second Japan-ASEAN Women, Peace and Security (WPS) Cooperation Project held in Tokyo, Japan from 28th to 31st July 2025.
SECOND BATTALION HELD HALF MARATHON COMPETITION
TUTONG CAMP, THURSDAY, 31st July 2025 – The Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF) today organised inter-units Half Marathon Competition held at Tutong Camp. Also joining the competition was Major Mohammad Sufrien bin Johan, the Commanding Officer of 2Bn RBLF, who participated in the 10-kilometre run.
SECOND BATTALION HELD REGIMENT SERGEANT MAJOR PARADE
Tutong Camp, Tuesday, 29th July 2025 – The Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF) held its Regiment Sergeant Major (RSM) parade, which took place at 2Bn RBLF Parade Square in Tutong Camp. Present at the event was Warrant Officer 1 Mohammad Rezal bin Haji Ismail, RSM of 2Bn and were joined by First Battalion (1Bn), Third Battalion (3Bn) and Engineer Regiment (Engr Regt) RSM, as well as Drill Sergeants Major (DSM) of 1Bn and 3Bn RBLF.
SCHOOL OF INFANTRY CELEBRATES ITS 16TH ANNIVERSARY
PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 28th July 2025 - The School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF) celebrated its 16th anniversary with a Parade Ceremony involving 159 personnel held at the SOI RBLF Parade Square, Penanjong Garisson. Upon arrival, Lieutenant Colonel Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, SOI RBLF Commanding Officer received an honorary salute from the parade commanded by Captain Mohamad Amiruddin bin Haji Hamdan, Wing Commander of the Other Rank Development Wing (ORDW) SOI.
ROYAL GUARDS REGIMENT CONCLUDES EXERCISE SEMANGAT PERWIRA
PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 28th July 2025 - The ‘Perwira’ Company of the Royal Guards Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RGdR RBLF), has successfully concluded Exercise SEMANGAT PERWIRA, a three-day live firing exercise held from 25th July 2025, culminating in a final attack phase on 27th July 2025 at the Field Firing Area, Binturan Range, Penanjong Garrison. In attendance to witness the final phase was Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, RBLF Head of the Inspectorate and was joined by Major Haji Hazimin bin Haji Abdullah, RGdR Commanding Officer.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 28th July 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony in conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee Wedding Anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam.
THIRD BATTALION PROVIDES ASSISTANCE FOR REMOTE SCHOOLS IN BELAIT DISTRICT
LABI, Monday, 28th July 2025 – The Third Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (3Bn RBLF) extended its support by providing transportation and manpower assistance for the relocation of school equipment involving three remote schools in the Belait District namely Melilas Primary School, Dato Maharaja Setia Dian Sukang Primary School, and Orang Kaya Besar Pahlawan Bukit Sawat Primary School.
2BN RBLF JOINS CHARITY WALKATHON
AMPONG PENAPAR, Sunday, 27th July 2025 – The Takmir Committee of Kampong Penapar Mosque, Tutong, held a Charity Walkathon, with the participation of 32 personnel from the Second Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF). In attendance as the Guest of Honour was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II.
