PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday 12th July 2024 A closing ceremony for the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosive (CBRE) Pioneer Course 2024 session was held at the Second Squadron [Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Explosive Defence] Engineer Regiment Royal Brunei Land Force (2Sqn [CBRE Def] ER RBLF). A total of nine participants has successfully completed the course which was conducted by the Combat Engineer Special Operations and Demolition Wing, School of Military Engineer (SOME) ER RBLF from 22nd April 2024 to 12th July 2024.

Attending as the Guest of Honour was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, ER RBLF Commanding Officer and were joined by Officers and ER RBLF personnel. The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Sergeant Mohd Ariffin bin Awang Salleh from 2Sqn CBRE ER RBLF, followed by a demonstration on CBRE response by the course participants which showcased the application of skills and knowledge gained throughout the course.

The ceremony then proceeded with a course review from Captain Delson bin Jumat, Acting Training Officer of SOME ER RBLF, highlighting the dedication, efforts and progress of the participants, and this was followed by the presentation of certificates and awards by the Guest of Honour. The Overall Best Student Award and the Best Student for Chemical, Biological, and Radiological (CBR) Defense Phase Award were awarded to Sergeant Hardi bin Awang Alek from Troop 1, 2Sqn CBRE ER RBLF. Meanwhile, the Best Student for Improvised Explosive Device Disposal Phase was awarded to Corporal Arraffie bin Norazli from Troop 2, 2Sqn CBRE ER RBLF.

The CBRE Pioneer course is among the mandatory course for all 2Sqn CBRE ER RBLF personnel who hold the rank of Corporal and serve as the Second in Command to Team Commander. The primary objective of this course is to enhance and hone the skills of all participants to not only identify potential CBR and Improvised Explosive Device threats, but also the key components critical for assisting in the determination of appropriate response procedure.

 

MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS RINTIS KBRL​

PENANJONG GARRISON, Jumaat 12 Julai 2024 – Majlis penutup bagi Kursus Rintis Kimia, Biologi, Radiologi dan Letupan (KBRL) sesi 2024 telah diadakan bertempat di Skuadron Kedua [Pertahanan Kimia, Biologi, Radiologi dan Letupan] Rejimen Jurutera Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (2Skn [Pthn KBRL] RJ TDDB). Seramai sembilan peserta kursus telah berjaya menamatkan kursus tersebut yang dikendalikan oleh Cawangan Operasi Khas dan Pemusnahan, Jurutera Tempur, Sekolah Jurutera Tentera (SJT) RJ RBLF bermula dari 22 April 2024 hingga 12 Julai 2024.

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Leftenan Kolonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Pegawai Pemerintah RJ TDDB dan turut disertai oleh Pegawai-pegawai dan anggota RJ TDDB. Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Sarjan Mohd Ariffin bin Awang Salleh daripada 2Skn [KBRL] RJ TDDB dan seterusnya diikuti dengan demonstrasi tindak balas KBRL oleh peserta kursus yang mempamerkan penerapan kemahiran dan pengetahuan yang diperolehi sepanjang kursus dijalankan.

Majlis diteruskan dengan ulasan kursus daripada Kapten Delson bin Jumat, Pemangku Pegawai Latihan SJT RJ TDDB di mana beliau mengetengahkan mengenai progres, usaha dan dedikasi para peserta kursus, dan seterusnya diikuti dengan penyampaian sijil dan anugerah oleh Tetamu Kehormat. Anugerah bagi Penuntut Terbaik Keseluruhan Kursus dan Anugerah bagi Penuntut Terbaik Fasa Pertahanan Kimia, Biologi, dan Radiologi (KBR) disandang oleh Sarjan Hardi bin Awang Alek dari Trup 1, 2Skn KBRL RJ TDDB. Manakala Anugerah bagi Penuntut Terbaik Fasa Pemusnahan Bom Rekaan Sendiri disampaikan kepada Koperal Arraffie bin Norazli dari Trup 2, 2Skn KBRL RJ TDDB.

Kursus Rintis KBRL ini adalah antara kursus yang wajib dihadiri oleh anggota-anggota 2Skn KBRL RJ TDDB yang berpangkat Koperal dan memegang jawatan sebagai Penolong Ketua Tim. Objektif utama kursus ini adalah untuk meningkatkan dan mengasah kemahiran para peserta kursus dalam bukan sahaja mengenalpasti potensi ancaman KBR dan bom rekaan sendiri, tetapi juga mengetahui komponen utama untuk membantu dalam penentuan prosedur tindak balas yang sesuai.
