TUTONG CAMP, Thursday, 4 January 2024 – The Opening Ceremony for the Basic Infantry Course (BIC) series 3/2023 for Intake 172 was held today at the Cookhouse of Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Tutong Camp. Facilitated by the School of Infantry RBLF, the course has taken place from 25 December 2023 and will end on 15 March 2024, with the assistance of numerous Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) from infantry units across RBLF.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer of School of Infantry RBLF. Also, in attendance were invited officers and Senior NCOs of RBLF.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Lance Corporal Muhammad Hifzhan Syazwi bin Hermanti, followed by the Guest of Honour’s opening remarks to officiate the course. During his address, he underscored the importance for all course participants to seize the opportunity for the enhancement of military discipline and teamwork – qualities fundamental to all military establishments. The event concluded with the recitation of the RBLF pledge, led by Private Muhammad Nazirul Hazwandi bin Mohammad Fazrie, a participant in the course.
A total of 179 participants reported for the course consisting of 105 personnel from First Battalion RBLF, 36 personnel from Second Battalion RBLF, 35 personnel from Third Battalion RBLF and three personnel from Land Engineering Combat Service Support RBLF. This course serves to prepare and expose the course participants on their future duties, roles, and responsibilities as Infantrymen in RBLF.
MAJLIS PEMBUKAAN KURSUS ASAS INFANTRI SIRI 3/2023
PERKHEMAHAN TUTONG, Khamis, 4 Januari 2024 – Majlis Pembukaan Kursus Asas Infantri Siri 3/2023 bagi anggota rekrut Pengambilan Ke-172 telah diadakan pada hari ini bertempat di Rumah Masak Batalion Kedua TDDB, Perkhemahan Tutong. Kursus tersebut dikendalikan oleh Sekolah Infantri TDDB dengan sokongan Pegawai – pegawai Tidak Bertauliah (PTB) unit – unit infantri TDDB bermula 25 Disember 2023 dan akan berakhir pada 15 Mac 2024.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Pegawai Pemerintah SI TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai-Pegawai dan PTB-PTB Kanan jemputan TDDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dibacakan oleh Las Kopral Muhammad Hifzhan Syazwi bin Hermanti, diikuti dengan ucapan perasmian kursus Tetamu Kehormat. Dalam ucapannya, beliau menekankan bagi semua peserta kursus untuk mengambil peluang meningkatkan disiplin ketenteraan dan semangat kerjasama berpasukan dalam mencapai kualiti asas selaku anggota tentera. Majlis berakhir dengan lafaz ikrar TDDB yang diketuai oleh Soldadu Muhammad Nazirul Hazwandi bin Mohammad Fazrie, salah seorang peserta kursus tersebut.
Seramai 179 peserta menyertai kursus berkenaan yang terdiri daripada 105 anggota Batalion Pertama TDDB, 36 anggota Batalion Kedua TDDB, 35 anggota Batalion Ketiga TDDB dan tiga anggota Kejuruteraan Darat Khidmat Bantuan Kombat TDDB. Kursus ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan dan memberikan pendedahan kepada peserta kursus tentang tugas, peranan dan tanggungjawab sebagai anggota infantri TDDB.
