LUMUT CAMP, Monday, 22 May 2023 – The School of Infantry Royal Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF) held the Opening Ceremony of the Basic Infantry Course series 1/2023 for Intake 170 who have just recently completed their recruit training, took place today at the Third Battalion RBLF Cookhouse, Lumut Camp. The 12-week course organises by SOI RBLF with support from several Non-Commissioned Officers from infantry units of RBLF which will be conducted from 22 May 2023 to 11 August 2023.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Acting Commanding Officer of SOI RBLF. Also present during the ceremony were officers and personnel of RBLF as well as the families of the course participants.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and continued with a briefing from Lieutenant Mohammad Thaqif @ Mohammad Najib bin Roslan, the course Conducting Officer, followed by a questions and answer session. A total of 209 participants reported for the course consisting of: 68 personnel of First Battalion RBLF, 34 personnel of Second Battalion RBLF, 34 personnel of Third Battalion RBLF, 64 personnel of Royal Guards Regiment RBLF and nine personnel of Land Engineering Combat Service Support RBLF.
For the first time, the course will be held for three months and will be divided into three phases namely General Knowledge, Military Basics and Military Skills. It serves to prepare and provide exposure for the course participants about the duties, roles, and responsibilities as infantrymen in the RBLF.
MAJLIS PEMBUKAAN KURSUS ASAS INFANTRI SIRI 1/2023
PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Isnin, 22 Mei 2023 – Sekolah Infantri Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (SI TDDB) telah mengadakan Majlis Perasmian Kursus Asas Infantri Siri 1/2023 pada hari ini bertempat di Rumah Masak Batalion Ketiga TDDB, Perkhemahan Lumut. Ia melibatkan anggota rekrut Pengambilan 170 yang baru menamatkan latihan. Kursus tersebut dijalankan selama 12 minggu bermula 22 Mei 2023 hingga 11 Ogos 2023 anjuran SI TDDB dengan sokongan daripada beberapa Pegawai-pegawai Tidak Bertauliah daripada unit-unit infantri TDDB.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Pemangku Pegawai Pemerintah SI TDDB. Turut hadir ialah pegawai dan anggota TDDB serta keluarga peserta kursus.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan diteruskan dengan taklimat daripada Leftenan Mohammad Thaqif @ Mohammad Najib bin Roslan, Pegawai Pengendali kursus, diikuti dengan sesi soal jawab. Seramai 209 peserta menyertai kursus berkenaan yang terdiri daripada 68 anggota Batalion Pertama TDDB, 34 anggota Batalion Kedua TDDB, 34 anggota Batalion Ketiga TDDB, 64 anggota Rejimen Pengawal Diraja TDDB dan sembilan anggota Batalion Bantu TDDB.
Kursus tersebut merupakan pertama kalinya dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan dan akan dibahagikan kepada tiga fasa iaitu pengetahuan am, asas ketenteraan dan kemahiran ketenteraan. Ia berfungsi untuk menyediakan dan memberi pendedahan kepada peserta kursus tentang tugas, peranan dan tanggungjawab sebagai anggota infantri dalam TDDB.
