PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 18th September 2026 – The Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), in collaboration with the United States Navy (U.S. Navy), conducted a Community Relations (COMREL) activity at Binturan Tutong Cluster 5 (C5) Primary School, Penanjong Garrison, in conjunction with the 32nd iteration of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2026. The activity, conducted from 16th to 18th September 2026, involved personnel from the Engr Regt RBLF and U.S. Navy jointly constructing steel benches and shoe racks for the school.
Present at the event was Yang Mulia Cikgu Nurul Khairunnisa binti Morni, School Principal of Binturan Tutong C5 Primary School. Also present were Yang Mulia Major Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Commanding Officer of the Engr Regt RBLF, and Lieutenant Commander Cole Yoos, Command Chaplain, Destroyer Squadron Seven, U.S. Navy, along with personnel from the Engr Regt RBLF and U.S. Navy, as well as teachers from Binturan Tutong C5 Primary School.
The event commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Sergeant Waliyuddin bin Hj Abib from 3 Squadron, Engr Regt RBLF, followed by an appreciation speech delivered by the School Principal. The event continued with an exchange of mementoes and the handover of the completed steel benches and shoe racks to the school. The event concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat and a group photo session. Other activities included student performances and traditional Bruneian games involving the students, personnel from the Engr Regt RBLF and U.S. Navy.
The COMREL activity underscored the shared commitment of the RBLF and U.S. Navy to fostering strong defence relations and mutual cooperation beyond military training. Through meaningful community engagement, the activity also demonstrated the positive contribution of Exercise CARAT 2026 towards strengthening friendship, teamwork and goodwill between the participating forces and the local community.
AKTIVITI KEMASYARAKATAN SEMPENA EKSESAIS CARAT 2026
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 18 September 2026 – Rejimen Jurutera Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (RJ TDDB), dengan kerjasama Tentera Laut Amerika Syarikat (TLAS), telah melaksanakan Aktiviti Kemasyarakatan bertempat di Sekolah Rendah Binturan Tutong Cluster 5 (C5), Penanjong Garison, bersempena dengan Eksesais Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2026 kali ke-32. Aktiviti yang dilaksanakan dari 16 hingga 18 September 2026 tersebut melibatkan anggota RJ TDDB dan TLAS dalam pembinaan bangku besi dan rak kasut untuk kegunaan pihak sekolah.
Hadir pada aktiviti tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Cikgu Nurul Khairunnisa binti Morni, Guru Besar Sekolah Rendah Binturan Tutong C5. Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Mejar Haji Abdul Rahim bin Haji Adris, Pemerintah RJ TDDB, dan Lieutenant Commander Cole Yoos, Command Chaplain, Destroyer Squadron Seven, TLAS, serta anggota-anggota RJ TDDB dan TLAS, bersama guru-guru Sekolah Rendah Binturan Tutong C5.
Aktiviti dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Sarjan Waliyuddin bin Hj Abib dari 3 Skuadron, RJ TDDB, diikuti dengan ucapan penghargaan oleh Guru Besar Sekolah Rendah Binturan Tutong C5. Aktiviti diteruskan dengan pertukaran cenderahati serta penyerahan bangku besi dan rak kasut yang telah siap dibina kepada pihak sekolah, sebelum diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa Selamat dan sesi bergambar ramai. Antara aktiviti lain yang dijalankan ialah persembahan para pelajar serta permainan tradisional Brunei bersama para pelajar, anggota RJ TDDB dan TLAS.
Aktiviti Kemasyarakatan ini mencerminkan komitmen bersama RJ TDDB dan TLAS dalam memperkukuh hubungan pertahanan dan kerjasama melalui penglibatan bersama masyarakat setempat. Di samping itu, aktiviti ini turut menjadi platform dalam memupuk semangat kerjasama, persahabatan dan muhibah antara kedua-dua angkatan tentera serta masyarakat setempat.
