TUTONG CAMP, Monday 18 March 2019 – The flag handover ceremony for the Australian Army Skills at Arms Meet (AASAM) contingent was held at Second Battalion Headquarters.
Present as the guest of honour was Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Hj Lampoh, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force. Also present to witness the ceremony was the Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff, Senior Officers and Officers of RBLF.
During the ceremony, the national flag was officially handed over by the guest of honour to Major Mohammad Khairol Hadizam bin Haji Osman, the Contingent Commander. The guest of honour also expressed his hopes for the contingent to maintain and improve their performance as a team, which will bring out the competitive spirit and pride for the organisation as well as the country. Furthermore, he also reminded the whole contingent to maintain their discipline, continue to co-operate with one another as well as showing high professionalism throughout the competition.
The AASAM competition will be held at Puckapunyal, Australia from 26 March 2019 to 02 April 2019. The AASAM Contingent consists of 13 members who will partake in various events such as Pistol, Rifle, Light Support Weapon (LSW) and General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG).

PERKHEMAHAN TUTONG, Isnin 18 Mac 2019 – Majlis Penyerahan Bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam kepada Pasukan Menembak Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) yang akan menyertai Perlawanan
Australian Army Skills at Arms Meet (AASAM) bagi tahun 2019 telah diadakan di Markas Batalion Kedua TDDB.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis tersebut ialah Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Hj Lampoh, Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB, Ketua Staf TDDB, Pegawai-Pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai-pegawai TDDB.
Penyerahan Bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam telah disampaikan oleh Tetamu Kehormat kepada Yang Mulia Mejar Mohamad Khairol Hadizam bin Haji Osman selaku Ketua Kontinjen. Tetamu Kehormat juga melahirkan harapan agar Pasukan Menembak TDDB akan dapat mengekalkan dan mempertingkatkan prestasi sebagai sebuah pasukan yang berdaya saing diperingkat antarabangsa. Pada masa yang sama semua anggota diingatkan agar sentiasa menjaga disiplin, kerjasama serantau serta mempamerkan sikap profesionalisme yang tinggi disepanjang perlawanan tersebut dijalankan.
Perlawanan AASAM pada tahun ini akan diadakan di Puckapunyal, Australia bermula pada 26 Mac 2019 dan akan berakhir pada 02 April 2019. Seramai 13 anggota TDDB yang akan menyertai ke perlawanan AASAM pada tahun ini. Pasukan menembak TDDB akan mengikuti semua kategori Menembak Pistol, Rifle, Light Support Weapon (LSW) dan General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG).
