TUTONG CAMP, Wednesday, 30 June 2021 - Second Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces (2Bn RBLF) held an Orienteering Competition between 2Bn RBLF sub-units in the vicinity of Tutong Camp area. A total of 5 teams participated in the event which consisted of Admin Company of 2Bn RBLF, Command Company of 2Bn RBLF, A Company of 2Bn RBLF, B Company of 2Bn RBLF and C Company of 2Bn RBLF.
Present at the event was Major Matalisham bin Haji Mahadi, Officer Commanding of Command Company 2Bn RBLF.
A total of 4 categories competed during the event. The first category was for the team category, the second category was for the open category aged 29 years and below, the third category was for the open category aged 30-39 years and the fourth category was for the open category aged 40 years and above.
The Champion for the team category was won by Admin Company 2Bn RBLF with a cumulative score of 1320 points and the total group timing was 575 minutes. Whilst, for the open category aged 29 years and below was won by Private Md Hilman Adli bin Md Shahrul of Company C 2Bn RBLF with a cumulative score of 140 points in 48 minutes, for the open category aged 30-39 years was won by Sergeant Kamarul Kifli bin Mohammad of Admin Company 2Bn RBLF with a cumulative score of 135 points in 60 minutes and for the open category aged 40 years and above was won by Staff Sergeant Md Annuar bin Abdullah Biar from Admin Company 2Bn RBLF with a cumulative score of 155 points in 55 minutes.
The aim of this event was to test the physical endurance of individuals and to test the participants’ skills in map reading using the basic compass. This event also serves to foster teamwork and strengthening relationships amongst 2Bn RBLF personnel.
BATALION KEDUA TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI ADAKAN PERLAWANAN MERINTIS
PERKHEMAHAN TUTONG, Rabu, 30 Jun 2021 - Batalion Kedua Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (2Bn TDDB) telah mengadakan acara Perlawanan Merintis antara unit-unit dibawah 2Bn TDDB di dalam kawasan Perkhemahan Tutong. Sebanyak 5 pasukan telah menyertai acara merintis tersebut yang terdiri dari Kompeni Pentadbir 2Bn TDDB, Kompeni Memerintah 2Bn TDDB, Kompeni A 2Bn TDDB, Kompeni B 2Bn TDDB dan Kompeni C 2Bn TDDB.
Hadir di majlis tersebut adalah Mejar Matalisham bin Haji Mahadi, Pegawai Memerintah Kompeni Memerintah 2Bn TDDB.
Sebanyak 4 kategori telah dipertandingkan semasa acara tersebut. Kategori pertama adalah kategori berpasukan, kategori ke dua adalah kategori terbuka umur 29 tahun dan ke bawah, kategori ketiga adalah kategori terbuka umur 30-39 tahun dan kategori keempat adalah kategori terbuka 40 tahun dan ke atas.
Johan bagi kategori berpasukan dimenangi oleh Kompeni Pentadbir 2Bn TDDB dengan markah terkumpul sebanyak 1320 mata dan masa berkumpulan selama 575 minit. Manakala, bagi kategori terbuka umur 29 tahun dan ke bawah dimenangi oleh Soldadu Md Hilman Adli bin Md Shahrul dari Kompeni C 2Bn TDDB dengan markah terkumpul 140 dalam masa 48 minit, kategori terbuka umur 30-39 tahun dimenangi oleh Sarjan Kamarul Kifli bin Mohammad dari Kompeni Pentadbir 2Bn TDDB dengan markah terkumpul 135 dalam masa 60 minit dan kategori terbuka 40 tahun dan ke atas dimenangi oleh Staf Sarjan Md Annuar bin Abdullah dari Kompeni Pentadbir 2Bn TDDB dengan markah terkumpul 155 dalam masa 55 minit.
Tujuan acara diadakan adalah untuk menguji ketahanan jasmani individu bahkan juga untuk menguji kemahiran peserta dalam menggunakan kompas dan membaca peta. Ianya sekali gus memupuk semangat berkerjasama dan mengeratkan lagi hubungan silaturahim dikalangan anggota 2Bn TDDB.
