LUMUT CAMP, Thursday, 28 January 2021 – The Final Musabaqah Tilawah Al-Quran in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) 59th anniversary was staged at the Pipes and Drum Auditorium Hall, Lumut Camp. A total of 14 RBLF personnel participated in the musabaqah and only 7 personnel made it through the final which comprises of 4 qari and 3 qariah.
Present as the guest of honour was Brigadier General Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan the Commander of RBLF. Also present during the event were senior officers, officers and other ranks of RBLF.
This year’s Qari champion is won by 52977 Private Muhammad Zainul Arifin bin Haji Haminuddin from 2Bn RBLF. 53026 Private Muhammad Aiman bin Saili from 3Bn RBLF grab the Qari runner-up and the third place is won by 18706 Lance Corporal Qamarul Ariffin bin Haji Muhammad from 2Bn RBLF. Meanwhile, 21389 Private Nur Syahirah binti Draise from HQ RBLF is crowned as the Qariah champion. The Qariah runner-up and third place are won by 21639 Corporal Dayangku Siti Noor Azimah binti Pengiran Asmadi and 21682 Lance Corporal Ramizah binti Haji Mohammad both from CSS RBLF respectively.
The musabaqah concluded with the presentation of prizes and souvenirs to the contestants and panel of judges by the guest of honour. The event then closed with a closing doa recited by Ustaz Muhammad Rusaini bin Awang, Religious Teacher in the Religious Department RBAF (JAMA’AT).
The musabaqah aimed to enrich understandings and knowledges of the Al-Quran within the RBLF personnel. It also aimed to produce potential qari dan qariah and as a preparation for the participants to compete in the upcoming RBAF Musabaqah Tilawah Al-Quran. Prior to the musabaqah, the participants were given the opportunity to attend a 2-week intensive Al-Quran Reading workshop organised by the JAMA’AT which aimed to enhance the quality of their reciting.

PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Khamis, 28 Januari 2021 – Peringkat Akhir Musabaqah Tilawah Al-Quran sempena Hari Ulang Tahun Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) ke-59 telah diadakan di Dewan Auditorium Serunai dan Tambur, Perkhemahan Lumut. Seramai 14 anggota TDDB telah menyertai pertandingan pada tahun ini yang mana 7 anggota berjaya masuk ke peringkat akhir yang terdiri dari 4 Qari dan 3 Qariah.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis ialah Brigedier Jeneral Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir semasa majlis tersebut ialah pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai serta warga anggota TDDB.
Johan qari disandang oleh 52977 Soldadu Muhammad Zainul Arifin bin Haji Haminuddin dari 2Bn TDDB. Naib johan dimenangi oleh 53026 Soldadu Muhammad Aiman bin Saili dari 3Bn TDDB dan tempat ketiga pula dimenangi oleh 18706 Lans Koperal Qamarul Ariffin bin Haji Muhammad dari 2Bn TDDB. Manakala johan bagi peserta qariah pula disandang oleh 21389 Soldadu Nur Syahirah binti Draise dari Markas TDDB. Naib johan dimenangi oleh 21639 Koperal Dayangku Siti Noor Azimah binti Pengiran Asmadi dari KBK TDDB dan tempat ketiga pula dimenangi oleh 21682 Lans Koperal Ramizah binti Haji Mohammad dari KBK TDDB.
Penyampaian hadiah kepada pemenang-pemenang dan cenderahati kepada peserta serta jemaah hakim telah disempurnakan oleh tetamu kehormat majlis. Majlis seterusnya disudahi dengan bacaan doa penutup oleh Ustaz Muhammad Rusaini bin Awang, Guru Agama Terlatih Jabatan Agama ABDB (JAMA’AT).
Antara objektif musabaqah diadakan adalah untuk menanai serta meninggikan martabat Al-Quran sebagai syiar dan panduan hidup dalam kalangan anggota TDDB. Selain itu, ianya adalah untuk melahirkan qari dan qariah yang berpotensi serta mempersiapkan peserta bagi musabaqah di peringkat ABDB. Sebelum musabaqah tersebut, peserta-peserta diberi peluang untuk menghadiri kelas mengaji Al-Quran secara taranum selama 2 minggu yang dikendalikan oleh pihak JAMA’AT bagi meningkatkan tahap kualiti bacaan masing-masing.
