BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 31 January 2020 – The closing ceremony for the Basic Horse-Riding Course of 01/2020 series was held at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Saddle Club, Berakas Garrison. The course was held from 20 January 2020 until 31 January 2020 and was attended by 19 personnel from D Company, First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (1Bn RBLF).Present as the guest of honour for the ceremony was Major Harensuhandy bin Haji Abdullah, Officer Commanding of Company D, 1Bn RBLF. In his speech, he advised the participants to support the RBAF Saddle Club and enrol themselves as members as as it is the only horse-riding club in the country other than Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club. He also added that the experience and skills gained from the courses are not to be taken for granted as it might be useful in the future. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates and badges to the course participants.
The programme of the course included an overall briefing of the mission and vision of the club as well as the course objectives. In addition, the course participants were also exposed on the handling of the horses at the club and they were also taught the correct procedure of cleaning the horses, installing horseback riding equipment as well as the most essential objective of the course is basic horse riding.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS ASAS MENUNGGANG KUDA SIRI 01/2020 BAGI KOMPENI D, BATALION PERTAMA TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat 31 Januari 2020 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Asas Menunggang Kuda Siri 01/2020 telah diadakan bertempat di Kelab Menunggang Kuda Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Berakas Garison. Kursus tersebut bermula dari 20 Januari 2020 sehingga 31 Januari 2020 dan dihadiri oleh 19 anggota daripada Kompeni D, Batalion Pertama, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (1Bn TDDB).
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat Majlis adalah Yang Mulia Mejar Harensuhandy bin Haji Abdullah, Pegawai Memerintah Kompeni D, 1Bn TDDB. Dalam ucapannya, beliau menyarankan para peserta kursus untuk mendaftarkan diri untuk menjadi ahli kelab bagi memberikan sokongan kepada kelab tersebut kerana iany merupakan satu-satunya kelab menunggang kuda di negara ini selain Kelab Menunggang Kuda dan Polo Diraja Brunei. Beliau juga menekankan bahawa ilmu dan kemahiran yang mereka perolehi ketika kursus adalah berguna untuk masa yang akan datang dan ianya tidak boleh diambil ringan. Majlis penutup disudahi dengan penyampaian sijil kepada peserta kursus dan cenderhati kepada para tenaga pengajar.
Program kursus termasuk taklimat keseluruhan tentang Misi dan Visi penubuhan kelab serta objektif kursus. Selain daripada itu, peserta kursus juga didedahkan dengan kuda-kuda yang terdapat di kelab dan juga diajar tatacara membersihkan kuda, memasang kelengkapan menunggang kuda dan objektif paling penting sekali di dalam kursus ini adalah asas menunggang kuda.
