BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 31 January 2020 – The 24th Exercise Maju Bersama between the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and Singapore Army commenced today in an opening ceremony held at First Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force in Berakas Garrison.
The opening ceremony was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Colonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, Chief of Staff RBLF and Brigadier-General Kenneth Liow, Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army.
Upon arrival, the Chief of Staff RBLF and Chief of Staff-General Staff, Singapore Army received the honourary salute and inspected the parade led by Major Mohammad Yusddy Affendy bin Amran. The ceremony was followed by the handing over of the exercise flag from the Commanding Officer, 3rd Singapore Infantry Regiment (3 SIR) to Commanding Officer, First Battalion RBLF (1Bn RBLF), signifying the commencement of the Exercise.
After the ceremony, the Chief of Staff- General Staff, Singapore Army then proceeded with his courtesy call to the Commander of the RBLF. During the courtesy call, both highlighted the close defence relations between the two countries through exchange of visits and courses and discussed on other avenues of cooperation.
The exercise will be conducted from 30 January until 08 February 2020, involving personnel from C Company, 3rd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment, B Company, 1Bn RBLF.
Initially inaugurated in 1995, the exercise remains and continue to serve as a valuable platform in enhancing interoperability, capability and mutual understanding between the two armies. It also expands the scope of military cooperation, as well as the relations that has long existed between both countries’ land forces.
PEMBUKAAN ACARA RASMI EKSESAIS MAJU BERSAMA KE-24
BERAKAS GARISON, Jumaat, 31 Januari 2020 – Eksesais Maju Bersama ke-24 di antara Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dan Tentera Darat Republik Singapura secara rasminya bermula dalam satu upacara pembukaan pada hari ini bertempat di Batalion Pertama, Berakas Garison.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Kolonel Azman bin Haji Bangkol, Ketua Staf TDDB dan Brigedier Jeneral Kenneth Liow,
Chief of Staff – General Staff, Tentera Darat Republik Singapura.
Sejurus tiba, acara dimulakan dengan menerima tabik hormat dan diikuti dengan pemeriksaan perbarisan. Upacara diteruskan dengan penyerahan bendera eksesais dari Pegawai Pemerintah,
3rd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment
(3 SIR) kepada Pegawai Pemerintah, Batalion Pertama TDDB menandakan permulaan Eksesais tersebut.
Selepas memeriksa perbarisan,
Chief of Staff – General Staff, Tentera Darat Republik Singapura membuat Kunjungan Hormat kepada Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah TDDB. Semasa kunjungan hormat tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB dan
Chief of Staff – General Staff, Tentera Darat Republik Singapura membincangkan tentang kerjasama yang terjalin khususnya didalam bidang pertahanan dan perkembangan positif dalam hubungan pertahanan dua hala antara kedua buah negara melalui pertukaran lawatan, mesyuarat, latihan dan kursus.
Eksesais ini bermula pada 30 Januari hingga 08 Februari 2020 melibatkan anggota-anggota dari Kompeni C,
3rd Battalion Singapore Infantry Regiment (3 SIR) dan anggota-anggota dari Kompeni B, 1Bn TDDB.
Eksesais Maju Bersama mula dikendalikan pada tahun 1995. Eksesais ini terus menjadi landasan penting dalam meningkatkan tahap interoperabiliti, keupayaan, serta persefahaman. Ianya juga dapat memperluaskan skop kerjasama serta mengukuhkan lagi keakraban di antara kedua belah Tentera Darat yang sudah sekian lama terjalin.
