– The Company/Squadron Sergeant Major Course (CSM/SSM) Series
2/2022 Closing Ceremony was held at the School of Infantry Royal
Brunei Land Force (SOI RBLF). A total of 15 Senior Ranks from various
units within the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Brunei Prison
Department attended the course which was conducted from 29 September
2022 until 24 November 2022. Present as the Guest of Honor (GOH) was
Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Acting Commanding Officer of SOI
RBLF. Also in attendance were the Officers, Senior Ranks of RBAF as
well as representatives from the Brunei Prison Department.
The
ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and the
recitation of Surah Al-Kahfi from verses 1 to 10 by Bintara Awg Mohd
Aziz bin Awg Ibrahim. The ceremony continued with the welcoming
remarks and a course review by Sergeant Nurul Suriyana binti Hj
Serbini, Course Instructor, followed by the certificate presentation
by the GOH to the course participants, consisting of eight personnel
from RBLF, four personnel from RBAirF, one personnel from RBN and two
personnel from the Brunei Prison Department.
The
GOH also presented awards to the course participants. The overall
Best Student was awarded to Sergeant Warder Rizal bin Kundin from the
Brunei Prison Department, while the Best Practical Student was
awarded to Sergeant Khairun Nizam bin Nawi from SOI RBLF) and the
Best Theoretical Student was awarded to Staff Sergeant Adi Zulhusni
bin Morsedi from the Royal Guards Regiment RBLF. The ceremony
concluded with a congratulatory speech from the GOH, followed by the
official closing of the Company/Squadron Sergeant Major Series 2/2022
Course.
The
CSM/SSM course was held for eight weeks and was conducted by the
Drill Training Wing, School of Infantry RBLF, which is the second
highest attainable course for Senior Ranks and is one of the
mandatory courses that must be attended especially personnel from the
Infantry Battalion, with the rank of Sergeant to Warrant Officer Two
(WO2). The course has given exposure to the course participants in
practicals for the ceremonial drills (Kawad
Tongkat,
Kawad
Pedang
and Kawad
Panji-panji)
as well as the introduction of RBAF’s Guard of Honour Parade. Apart
from that, the course also provided a lot of exposure to the daily
duties and responsibilities of Senior Ranks in the ability to handle
welfare and management of personnel. In addition, the course included
counseling lessons, which provides the knowledge and experience in
handling procedures and provide encouragement to personnel.
MAJLIS
PENUTUP KURSUS KOMPENI/SKUADRON SARJAN MEJAR SIRI 2/2022
PENANJONG
GARISON, Khamis, 24 November 2022 –
Majlis Penutup bagi Kursus Kompeni/Skuadron Sarjan Mejar
(KSM/SSM) siri 2/2022 telah diadakan di Sekolah Infantri Tentera
Darat Diraja Brunei (SI TDDB). Seramai 15 Pegawai Tidak
Bertauliah (PTB) Kanan yang terdiri dari pelbagai unit di dalam
Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan dari Jabatan Penjara
Brunei telah menghadiri kursus tersebut yang mana telah
berlangsung dari 29 September 2022 sehingga 24 November 2022. Hadir
selaku Tetamu Kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Mejar Faizal Azly
bin Haji Rosli, Pemangku Pemerintah Pemerintah SI TDDB. Turut
hadir dalam majlis tersebut ialah Pegawai-pegawai, PTB-PTB Kanan dari
ABDB dan wakil dari Jabatan Penjara Brunei.
Majlis
dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah serta bacaan Surah Al-Kahfi
dari ayat 1 hingga 10 oleh Bintara Awg Mohd Aziz bin Awg Ibrahim.
Majlis diteruskan dengan ucapan alu-aluan dan ulasan perjalanan
kursus oleh Sarjan Nurul Suriyana binti Hj Serbini, Jurulatih Kursus
dan diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil oleh Tetamu Kehormat kepada
peserta kursus yang terdiri daripada lapan anggota daripada TDDB,
empat anggota daripada TUDB, seorang anggota daripada TLDB dan dua
anggota daripada Jabatan Penjara.
Tetamu
kehormat juga telah menyampaikan anugerah-anugerah kepada peserta
kursus. Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik keseluruhan disandang oleh Sarjan
Wadar Rizal bin Kundin dari Jabatan Penjara Brunei, manakala Anugerah
Penuntut Terbaik Amali disandang oleh Sarjan Khairun Nizam bin Nawi
dari SI TDDB dan Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik Teori disandang oleh Staf
Sarjan Adi Zulhusni bin Morsedi dari Regimen Pengawal Diraja TDDB.
Majlis kemudian diakhiri dengan ucapan tahniah daripada Tetamu
Kehormat dan penutupan secara rasmi Kursus Kompeni/Skuadron
Sarjan Mejar siri 2/2022.
Kursus
KSM/SSM yang berlangsung selama lapan minggu dikendalikan oleh
Cawangan Latihan Kawad, SI TDDB, merupakan kursus kedua tertinggi
bagi PTB Kanan, dan salah satu kursus mandatori yang wajib dihadiri
khasnya daripada Batalion Infantri TDDB yang berpangkat Sarjan hingga
ke Pegawai Waran Dua (PW2). Kursus ini telah memberikan pendedahan
kepada peserta kursus dalam membuat praktikal bagi Kawad Tongkat,
Kawad Pedang dan Kawad Panji-panji serta pengenalan Kawad Kawalan
Kehormatan ABDB. Selain itu, kursus ini juga banyak memberikan
pendedahan kepada tugas dan tanggungjawab seharian PTB-PTB Kanan
dalam berkebolehan pengendalian kebajikan dan pengurusan anggota.
Selain itu, kursus ini merangkumi dalam pelajaran kaunseling, dimana
memberikan banyak ilmu pengetahuan dan pengalaman dalam tatacara
mengawal serta memberi dorongan kepada anggota-anggota.
