
LUMUT CAMP, Wednesday, 16 March 2022 – Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a study visit from the 12th Command and Staff Course (CSC) participants including the Directing Staffs from the Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces today at Officers’ Mess, Third Battalion RBLF, Lumut Camp.
Present as the guest of honour was Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Commander of RBLF. Also in attendance were Senior officers, officers and personnel of RBLF.
The visit commenced with the opening remarks by Major Narulismandy@Anwar Hadi bin Haji Samaih, a course representative followed by a briefing by the guest of honour to the course participants. The course participants comprised of 28 local officers from RBAF tri-services, Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Brunei Internal Security Department and 15 foreign students from Malaysia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Philippines, United Kingdom, Oman, Republic of Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Pakistan, Arab Saudi and India.
In his speech titled ‘Royal Brunei Land Force – Highly Capable and Adaptable Land Force’, the Commander of RBLF highlighted the importance of understanding the roles of RBLF and the Defence White Paper 2021, particularly in the current Strategic Environment of Brunei Darussalam. He also emphasised the three main points to achieve the defence pillars which include cooperation amongst government security organisations, community responsibility aligned with the ’Whole of Nation Approach’ and the capacity and capabilities of the RBLF to prepare for both Warfighting and Peacetime Operations. He also shared on the shaping and future of RBLF as well as its 12 Command Philosophy.
The visit continued an appreciation speech by the course participants to the guest of honour followed by the exchange of mementos, a group photo and concluded with static displays from various units of RBLF. The static displays showcased arms and equipment from Infantry Battalions, drones, equipment from the Special Tasks Platoon, Mortar Platoon, Medical and Health Services and Dental Services as well as a bouncer displays from the Fire Department, Combat Service Support RBLF as well as exhibits from the various sub-units under Support Battalion RBLF.
The study visit serves to provide firsthand knowledge of the role and capabilities of RBLF, particularly in areas of defence cooperation in maintaining peace and security, Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations within the region as well as the future prospects of the RBLF.

LAWATAN KERJA SAMBIL BELAJAR KURSUS MAKTAB TURUS SESI 12/2022 KE TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI
PERKHEMAHAN LUMUT, Rabu, 16 Mac 2022 – Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) menerima lawatan sambil belajar dari peserta Kursus Maktab Turus ke-12 dan Juruarah Kursus daripada Akademi Pertahanan, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei pada hari ini bertempat di Mes Pegawai Batalion Ketiga TDDB, Perkhemahan Lumut.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Pegawai-pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-pegawai TDDB dan anggota TDDB.
Lawatan tersebut dimulakan dengan ucapan alu-aluan daripada Mejar Narulismandy@Anwar Hadi bin Haji Samaih, wakil peserta kursus, diikuti dengan taklimat daripada tetamu kehormat majlis kepada peserta kursus yang mana terdiri daripada 28 pegawai tempatan dari Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei (PPDB) , Jabatan Keselamatan Dalam Negeri dan 15 pelajar asing yang terdiri dari Malaysia, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Filipina, United Kingdom, Oman, Republik Singapura, Indonesia, Australia, Republik Islam Pakistan, Arab Saudi dan Republik India.
Di dalam taklimat beliau yang bertajuk ‘Royal Brunei Land Force – Highly Capable and Adaptable Land Force’,Pemerintah TDDB menegaskan kepentingan memahami peranan TDDB dan Kertas Putih Pertahanan 2021 khususnya dalam persekitaran strategik Negara Brunei Darussalam. Beliau juga menekankan tiga perkara utama untuk mencapai tonggak pertahanan iaitu kerjasama diantara organisasi keselamatan kerajaan, tanggungjawab masyarakat sejajar dengan ‘Pendekatan Senegara’ dan kapasiti serta keupayaan TDDB untuk persiapan bagi Operasi Peperangan dan Operasi Semasa Aman. Beliau selanjutnya menyebut tentang pembentukan dan masa depan TDDB serta 12 Command Philosophy TDDB.
Lawatan tersebut diteruskan dengan ucapan penghargaan daripada wakil peserta kursus kepada tetamu kehormat diikuti dengan pertukaran cenderahati, sesi begambar ramai dan diakhiri dengan pertunjukan pameran statik. Pameran Statik tersebut memperlihatkan pelbagai senjata dan peralatan dari Batalion Infantri, aset dron, peralatan dari Platun Gerak Khas, Platun Mertak, Khidmat Perubatan dan Kesihatan dan Khidmat Pergigian, pertunjukan “Bouncer” dari Khidmat Bomba dan Keselamatan, Khidmat Bantuan Kombat dan pameran daripada unit-unit dibawah Batalion Bantu TDDB.
Lawatan sambil belajar itu bertujuan untuk memberi pengetahuan secara langsung tentang peranan dan keupayaan TDDB khususnya dalam bidang kerjasama pertahanan dalam mengekalkan keamanan dan keselamatan serta Operasi Bantuan Bencana Alam di rantau ini serta prospek masa depan TDDB.
