BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 5th June 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) received a courtesy call from Captain (Navy) Gokhan Gulbiten , Non-Resident Republic of Turkiye Military Attaché accredited to Brunei Darussalam. Captain (Navy) Gokhan Gulbiten was warmly welcomed by Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander of RBLF, at the RBLF Headquarters today.

BERKELEY, CALIFORNIA, Tuesday, 03rd June 2025 — Lieutenant Dr Wan Nurul Naszeerah binti Mohammed Zainal Abidin Ariff of the Medical Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), has recently completed a four-year Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) programme at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health, United States of America. The academic hood was formally conferred during the university's official hooding ceremony by Professor Layla Kwong, Chair of her dissertation committee.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 30 May 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony in conjunction with the Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 64th anniversary celebration on 31st May 2025. The ceremony took place simultaneously at all RBLF suraus, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the main event at Surau Al-Fa'izun, Berakas Garrison.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 30 May 2025 – Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander of Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) received a courtesy call from Colonel (GS) Markus Theil, Defence Attaché of German accredited to Brunei Darussalam held at the RBLF Headquarters. PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 23 May 2025 – With the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 156 Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) personnel, consisting both in-service and retired personnel, were conferred with the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Military). In attendance to present the medal was Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, held at the Nikmat Hall, Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Penanjong Garrison.

MOSCOW, RUSSIAN FEDERATION, Thursday, 22 May 2025 – The 15th ASEAN Defence Ministers' Meeting-Plus (ADMM-Plus) Experts' Working Group on Humanitarian Mine Action (EWG on HMA) was held at the Patriot Expo in Moscow, Russian Federation from 21st May 2025 to 24th May 2025. Representing the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam as the Head of Delegation was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Hussin, Commanding Officer Engineer Regiment, Royal Brunei Land Forces. Also present was Abdul Azim bin Haji Abd Kassim, Research Officer, Directorate of Defence Policy.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 16th May 2025 – The Basic Communication Information System course has successfully concluded with a closing event held at the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. The 10-week course was conducted from 10th March 2025 to 16th May 2025 with the participation of 27 personnel from the RBLF, Royal Brunei Air Force and Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). In attendance to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer of SOI.

HONOLULU, Thursday, 15 May 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) delegation led by Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, the Acting Commander of RBLF had attended the 12th Land Forces Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America. The event was held from 13th to 15th May 2025, which involved the participation of more than 33 countries organised by The Association of the United States Army (AUSA)This year's theme entitled “Prevailing Through Landpower" highlights the critical role of land forces in the Indo-Pacific region, particularly emphasising the Army's focus on deterrence through readiness and partnerships in preserving peace, stability and security.

LUMUT CAMP, Tuesday, 13th May 2025  Lieutenant Colonel Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, Commanding Officer of the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF), had a session with participants of the Advanced Infantry Course Series 7/2025 held at Ad-Din Hall, Third Battalion RBLF, Lumut Camp. A total of 103 course participants from male recruits of Intake 176 had attended the session.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 09th May 2025 –  The Advanced Clerk Course has successfully concluded with a closing event held at the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Field Company Headquarters, Penanjong Garrison. The four-week course was held from 14th April 2025 to 9th May 2025 with the participation of 27 personnel from the Ministry of Defence, RBLF and Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), honing their abilities in record-keeping, administrative procedures, and other office management functions. Officiating the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Hamerolazmi bin Haji Abdul Latip, Assistant Chief of Staff Personnel and Administration, RBLF Headquarters.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Friday, 9 May 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Football and Tug of War Championship 2025 were held simultaneously at the Mini Stadium, Berakas Garrison. The activities, which ran from 28 April to 9 May 2025 featured six teams namely the First Battalion, Second Battalion, Third Battalion, Combat Service Support (CSS), Combined Team 1 consisting of the RBLF Headquarters, Medical Services, Dental Services and Royal Guards Regiment, and Combined Team 2 comprising of Field Headquarters, Engineer Regiment, Armour Recce Regiment and Combat Boat Squadron. In attendance to present the trophies and prizes was Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, Acting Commander RBLF.

BANGAR, Saturday, 3rd May 2025 – The Echo Company, First Battalion Royal Brunei Land Forces ('E' Coy 1Bn RBLF) participated in a charity walkathon organised by the Temburong District Office as part of the 'Ke Temburong Bisai' Programme to raise funds for the Temburong Orphans Fund while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The event began and ended at Sultan Hassan Primary School in Bangar and among those joining were Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir, Member of the Legislative Council, Yang Mulia Awang Hassan Baha bin Haji Umar, Acting Temburong District Officer, as well as residents in Temburong District. The RBLF's participation demonstrates its commitment to social responsibility and its willingness to support those in need, and further foster positive relationships between the RBLF and the community.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Wednesday, 30th April 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a blood donation drive on a separate occasion in conjunction with its  63rd Anniversary. This initiative was held in collaboration with the Blood Donation Centre, Department of Laboratory Services at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital, under the Ministry of Health (MOH), which aimed to support the National Blood Bank. A total of 324 personnel from various RBLF units had participated in the donation. The drive underscores the importance of collective effort in meeting the nation's healthcare needs and fostering social responsibility. This initiative also reflects RBLF's dedication to community welfare and strengthening unity within the nation.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 28th April 2025 – A total of 237 Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) personnel were promoted in an event held at several RBLF units. Colonel Muhammad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, the Acting Commander of the RBLF, presented the rank insignias at the Warrant Officers, Staff Sergeants, and Sergeants Mess in Berakas Garrison.

BALIKPAPAN, INDONESIA, Friday, 25 April 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) and the Indonesian Army (Tentara Nasional Indonesia – Angkatan Darat, TNI-AD) has officially concluded Exercise LATMA KERIS SATRIA 16/2025 at the Battalion Infantry Rider Yonif 600/Modang in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Republic of Indonesia. The exercise, held from 16 to 26 April 2025, brought together 25 personnel from the Third Battalion (3Bn) RBLF and 25 personnel from the Battalion Infantry Rider Yonif 600/Modang TNI-AD. Attending the closing ceremony were Major Khairul Faizin bin Haji Abdul Gapar, 3Bn RBLF Commanding Officer, and Colonel Inf Rudy Setiawan, Assistant Operations, Kodam VI/Mulawarman, TNI-AD.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 18th April 2025 – The Combat Network Radio Communication Management Course for 2025 concluded with a certificate presentation and closing ceremony held at the School of Infantry, Royal Brunei Land Forces (SOI RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. A total of nine participants successfully completed the course, comprising five personnel from the RBLF, three from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and one from the Royal Brunei Malay Reserve Regiment (RBMRR) RBAF. The course was conducted from 10th March to 18th April 2025. The ceremony was officiated by Major Ahmad Bohare bin Mansur, Deputy Commanding Officer of SOI RBLF and was attended by officers, invited guests, the School Sergeant Major, Heads of Training branches as well as instructors.

BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday, 18th April 2025  Five nursing undergraduates from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) have successfully completed a three-month Discovery Year (DY) attachment with the Medical Services Headquarters, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) at Bolkiah Garrison, from 6th January to 18th April 2025.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Tuesday 15th April 2025 – A total of six personnel from the Dental Services, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) have successfully completed the inaugural Advanced Dental Course, while one staff member from the Medical and Dental Technical Support Group (MDTSG) completed the Dental Induction Course. The closing ceremony was held at the Dental Services RBLF Headquarters, Berakas Garrison, and was officiated by Colonel Dr Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Chief of Dental Services.

BERAKAS GARRISON, Monday, 14th April 2025 – The Flag Handover Ceremony for Exercise LATMA KERIS SATRIA 16/2025 was held at the Parade Square, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) Headquarters, Berakas Garrison. A total of 25 personnel from the Third Battalion, RBLF will be deployed for the exercise in Manggar, Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, Republic of Indonesia. The exercise is scheduled to take place from 16 to 26 April 2025.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Monday, 14 April 2025 – The Search Adviser Course 2025 concluded with a closing ceremony held at the Engineer Regiment Headquarters, Royal Brunei Land Forces (Engr Regt RBLF), Penanjong Garrison. The four-week course, conducted from 19th March to 14th April 2025, saw the participation of five officers and seven personnel from various security agencies, including the Engineer Regiment RBLF, the Special Operations Squad of the Royal Brunei Police Force (SOS RBPF) and the Gurkha Security Unit (GSU). The ceremony was officiated by Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Ghazali bin Haji Hussin, Commanding Officer of ER RBLF and were joined by the representatives from SOS RBPF, GSU and officers and personnel from ER RBLF.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday, 24th March 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held a recitation of Surah Yassin and Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum specifically for the late parents and son of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah.

MENUNGGOL, Saturday, 22nd March 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) continues to strengthen its bond with the community through Khatam Al-Quran event held at Kampung Menunggol Mosque. This initiative not only celebrate the completion of Quranic recitation in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, but also serve as a bridge, fostering understanding, goodwill and mutual respect. Participating in the event together with the residents of Kampung Menunggol were personnel from the First Battalion (1Bn) RBLF led by Lieutenant Muhammad Asfa Haziq bin Ali, Platoon Commander 'A' Company 1Bn RBLF.

PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 21st March 2025 – The closing event for the Junior Officer Tactics Course (JOTC) 2024/2025 was held at the Officers' Mess, Penanjong Garrison. A total of 40 course participants from the Ministry of Defence, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Joint Force Headquarters Royal Brunei Armed Forces (JFHQ RBAF), Training Institute (TI) RBAF and Special Force Regiment (SFR) RBAF had attended the course which was conducted for nine weeks starting from 22nd January to 14th March 2025. Present to officiate the closing was Lieutenant Colonel Erwan bin Haji Ibrahim, RBLF Chief of Staff.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 20th March 2025 – The Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) held events to commemorate the Nuzul Al-Qur'an celebration for 1446 Hijrah, featuring a special religious talk which were conducted simultaneously at RBLF suraus, including Pulau Baru-Baru Mosque, with the main event at Surau Al-Fa'izun, Berakas Garrison. In attendance at Surau Al-Faizun was Colonel Dr Jefri bin Haji Abdul Razak, Chief Dental Service RBLF and were joined by RBLF senior officers, officers and personnel.
