This year's champion of the Golf Trophy Challenge was won by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) golf team claiming based on System 36 stable ford format. The trophy was presented by Chief of Defence Force SAF, Lieutenant General Dato Paduka Seri Desmond Kuek.

In the Nearest to the Pin category, saw RADM Joseph Leong (Nearest to the pin hole #4), Col Hj Harith Hj Abd Karim (nearest to the pin hole #7), Col Yong Wui Chiang (nearest to the pin hole #14) and Lt Col (U) Pg Hj Mohd Ali Pg Hj Tuah (nearest to the pin hole #16).  Whereas Lt Col Johnny Tang won Nearest to Line Hole No. 8 and Lt Col Zahrin Hj Zunaidi won for the Longest Drive Hole No.15.

In the Top 10 category for both sides, first place – Col Tay Sin Chuan (Singapore DA) with 36 points and Maj Tamin Tuah collect 37 points, second place – Lt Col Ong Chew Meng and Maj Hj Salleh Hj Suhaili, third place – Lt Col Daniel Ng and Col Hj Yussof Hj Abd Rahman, fourth place – Lt Col Woo Chee Seng and Lt Col Ismaon Hj Zainie, fifth place – Lt Gen Dato Paduka Seri Desmond Kuek and Maj (U) Norudin Salleh, sixth place – Col Dexter Chia Beng Ping and Lt Col (U) Lusir Sian, seventh place – Col Ng Soon Watt and Col Hj Harith Hj Abd Karim, eight place – Brig Gen David Koh and Lt Col (U) Pg Hj Mohd Ali Pg Hj Tuah, ninth place – Lt Col Johnny Tang and YDM Pehin Datu Lailaraja Maj Gen Dato Paduka Seri Hj Halbi Hj Md Yussof, and tenth place – Col Lawrence Teh Yew Kit and Lt Col Zahrin Hj Zunaidi.

In the Blind Pairing Category, first place – Col Yong Wui Chiang and Maj (U) Abu Hussin Abu Sahat, second place – Lt Col Lee Seng Tong and Brig Gen Hj Aminnuddin Ihsan POKSMDSP Hj Abidin, third place Col Chin Pak Chuen and YDM Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Col Hj Tawih Abdullah, fourth place – Brig Gen Tung Yu Fai and Lt Col (U) Shahril Anwar and fifth place – Lt Col Andrew Yeo Hock Heng and Lt Col Hasleen Hj Hassan. For hidden price went Brig Gen Lim Teck Yen and Col (L) Muzri Hj Mohsin. 

Meanwhile in the Ladies Bowling Trophy Challenge between BAKTI RBAF and SAF Senior Officers' Wives, overall winner was BAKTI RBAF. The trophy was presented by Datin Claudel Elizabeth Kuek, wife to the Chief of Defence Force SAF. The following prizes are as follows, Top score Blind Pair, first place – YM Datin Claudel Elizabeth Kuek and Dyg Hjh Masnonah, second place – Mrs Lesley Ng and YM Datin Hjh Kalshom, and third place – Mrs Jasmine Tung and Pg Ratna Suria. Top striker blind pair went to Emin Ong and Dyg Wan Hamimah. Top score individual  Mrs Linda Quek and Dyg Nur Elissa, Top striker individual Mrs Tan Li Hong and Pg Hasmah, Top score individual 10 pin bowling Mrs Linda Leong and Dyg Hayati Udan, Top score individual – Moonlight event Mrs Marina Chew and Dyg Hjh Laila and Most potential player Mrs Catherine Teo and Dyg Alina.

This goodwill interaction programme conducted annually and hosted alternately between RBAF-SAF. Through this interaction, the event serves as a valuable defence diplomacy platform to enhance the long-standing relationship of both armed forces. It is also aimed at enhancing cooperation, understanding amongst military senior officers of both armed forces and nonetheless to improve the sporting skills among the sports enthusiasts.

JERUDONG, Sabtu 21 Nov 2009 - Pada malam semalam penyampaian trofi dan hadiah-hadiah bagi interaksi sukan muhibah 2009 telah diadakan diantara Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan Angkatan Bersenjata Republik Singapura (ABRS) di satu majlis makan malam di Royal Brunei Polo & Riding Club, Jerudong.

Trofi juara interaksi acara golf telah dimenangi oleh pasukan ABDB. Trofi tersebut telah disampaikan oleh Tuan Yang Terutama Leftenan Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Desmond Kuek, Ketua Turus Pertahanan ABRS.

Hadiah-hadiah bagi kategori Nearest to the Pin, iaitu Laksamana Pertama Joseph Leong (Nearest to the pin hole #4), Kol Hj Harith Hj Abd Karim (nearest to the pin hole #7), Kol Yong Wui Chiang (nearest to the pin hole #14) dan Lt Kol (U) Pg Hj Mohd Ali Pg Hj Tuah (nearest to the pin hole #16).  Sementara Lt Kol Johnny Tang memenangi Nearest to Line Hole No. 8 dan Lt Kol Zahrin Hj Zunaidi memenangi Longest Drive Hole No.15.

Ianya jua bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kerjasama, kesefahaman dikalangan pegawai tentera kanan dan setentunya bagi meningkatkan kemahiran bersukan bagi peminat-peminat sukan.
