BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 16 June 2022 – Colonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) received a courtesy call today at the RBLF Headquarters from Commodore Mal Wise, Royal Australian Navy, Commander of Indo-Pacific Endeavour.
During the call, Commander RBLF welcomed Commodore Wise to RBLF Headquarters and expressed his appreciation for his visit to Brunei Darussalam. Commodore wise also congratulates the Commander of RBLF for his recent appointment and hopes Commander RBLF will bring in prosperous development in RBLF with his various skills and speciality. Both countries expressed their gratitude towards the close current defence and military relations shared between the two countries which have significantly enhanced over the years through various exchanges of visits, exercises, trainings, and courses. Both countries look forward to restoring and re-establishing prior engagements where most interactions were placed on hold due to the global pandemic COVID-19.
Towards the end of the call, the Commander RBLF expressed his intention to visit Australia at an opportune time. Commodore Wise will be in Brunei Darussalam for the IPE planning and site visits from 15 June 2022 to 17 June 2022.
PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI TERIMA KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARIPADA COMMANDER INDO-PACIFIC ENDEAVOUR
BERAKAS GARISON, Khamis, 16 Jun 2022 – Kolonel Saifulrizal bin Abdul Latif, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) menerima kunjungan hormat pada hari ini bertempat di Markas TDDB daripada Commodore Mal Wise, Royal Australian Navy, Commander of Indo-Pacific Endeavour.
Semasa perjumpaan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB mengalu-alukan kedatangan Commodore Wise ke TDDB dan merakamkan penghargaan atas lawatan beliau ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Commodore Wise juga mengucapkan tahniah kepada Pemerintah TDDB atas pelantikan beliau baru-baru ini dan berharap Pemerintah TDDB akan membawa pembangunan yang baik berterusan terhadap TDDB selaras dengan pelbagai kemahiran yang beliau ada. Kedua-dua pihak meluahkan rasa penghargaan di atas hubungan pertahanan dan ketenteraan yang erat antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Australia yang kian meningkat dengan ketara selama ini melalui pelbagai pertukaran lawatan, eksesais, latihan dan kursus. Kedua-dua pihak juga membincangkan bagi mewujudkan semula penglibatan sebelum ini yang mana kebanyakan interaksi ditangguhkan akibat pandemik global COVID-19.
Di hujung perjumpaan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB berharap dan menyatakan hasratnya untuk membuat lawatan ke Australia dalam masa terdekat. Commodore Wise akan berada di Brunei Darussalam bagi IPE planning dan site visits dari 15 Jun 2022 hingga 17 Jun 2022.
