BERAKAS GARRISON, Thursday, 27th November 2025 – The closing ceremony for the All Arms Staff and Tactics Course (AASTC) 2025 took place at the Officers' Mess, Berakas Garrison. A total of 24 officers, including three international officers from the Malaysian Army, the Philippine Army and the Singapore Army, had successfully completed the eight-week course held from 6th October until 28th November 2025 at the School of Infantry (SOI), Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) in Penanjong Garrison. Present to officiate the closing was Colonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Field Commander of the RBLF. Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff RBLF, Defence Adviser of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, the Defence Attaché of the Republic of the Philippines, the Assistant Defence Adviser of the Republic of Singapore, as well as RBAF Senior Officers and Officers.
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Surah Al-Anfal, verses 57 to 63, led by Lieutenant Commander Mohd Akhmal bin Mohd Akbal, Royal Brunei Navy, representing this year's course cohort. This was followed by course remarks delivered by Major Nor Mohammad Saufi @ Nikmat bin Ahmad, Officer Commanding of the Officers' Development Wing, SOI RBLF. The presentation of certificates and awards was then presented by the Field Commander with this year's Best Student Award being awarded to Major Haji Amirul Adini bin Haji Amir Abas, from the RBLF Headquarters.
In his remarks, the Field Commander of the RBLF congratulated all participants for their dedication, resilience, and steadfast commitment throughout the course. He underscored that military planning is a disciplined and structured process that ensures every decision aligns with the intended strategic outcomes. He further highlighted the importance of adaptability in the current complex operating landscape and urged officers to continually enhance their leadership and communication skills, ensuring clarity in the transmission and execution of directives at every level of the military organisation. The event concluded with a Doa, followed by a group photo session.
The course consisted of two phases, namely, the Foundation Phase, which focuses on doctrinal fundamentals, planning philosophy, operational frameworks, and security environment; and the Operational Command and Planning Phase, which highlights the application of tactical and operational planning at the battalion level and within the Land Forces Field Headquarters.

PENUTUP KURSUS ALL ARMS STAFF AND TACTICS (AASTC) 2025
BERAKAS GARISON, Khamis, 27 November 2025 – Acara Penutup bagi Kursus All Arms Staff and Tactics (AASTC) 2025 telah berlangsung di Mes Pegawai, Berakas Garison. Seramai 24 Pegawai termasuk tiga Pegawai Luar Negara daripada Tentera Darat Malaysia, Tentera Darat Filipina serta Tentera Darat Singapura telah berjaya menamatkan kursus selama lapan minggu bermula 6 Oktober sehingga 28 November 2025 bertempat di Sekolah Infantri (SI), Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Penanjong Garison. Hadir bagi menyempurnakan acara penutup ialah Kolonel Mohammad Fakaruddin Zuraidie bin Haji Ramli, Pemerintah Medan TDDB. Turut hadir ialah Ketua Staf TDDB, Penasihat Pertahanan Malaysia ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, Atase Pertahanan Republik Filipina, Penolong Penasihat Pertahanan Republik Singapura, serta Pegawai-pegawai Kanan dan Pegawai-pegawai ABDB.
Acara dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan Surah Al-Anfal ayat 57 hingga 63 yang dipimpin oleh Leftenan Komander Mohd Akhmal bin Mohd Akbal, TLDB, selaku wakil kohort kursus tahun ini. Seterusnya, ucapan kursus telah disampaikan oleh Mejar Nor Mohammad Saufi @ Nikmat bin Ahmad, Pegawai Memerintah Cawangan Perkembangan Pegawai, SI TDDB. Penyampaian sijil dan anugerah kemudiannya disempurnakan oleh Pemerintah Medan TDDB, di mana Anugerah Penuntut Terbaik bagi tahun ini telah dianugerahkan kepada Mejar Haji Amirul Adini bin Haji Amir Abas dari Markas TDDB.
Dalam ucapan Pemerintah Medan TDDB, beliau merakamkan ucapan tahniah dan penghargaan kepada semua peserta atas dedikasi, ketabahan serta komitmen yang berterusan sepanjang kursus berlangsung. Beliau menegaskan bahawa perancangan ketenteraan merupakan proses yang berdisiplin dan teratur bagi memastikan setiap keputusan dibuat selaras dengan hala tuju strategik. Beliau turut menekankan keperluan kebolehsuaian dalam menghadapi landskap operasi yang semakin kompleks, dan menyeru para pegawai untuk terus memperkukuhkan kepimpinan serta komunikasi agar setiap arahan dapat disampaikan dengan jelas dan dilaksanakan secara berkesan di semua peringkat organisasi ketenteraan. Majlis diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa dan sesi bergambar ramai.
Kursus ini merangkumi dua fasa, iaitu Fasa Asas yang memberi tumpuan kepada doktrin, falsafah perancangan, rangka kerja operasi serta persekitaran keselamatan; diikuti dengan Fasa Perintah dan Perancangan Operasi yang menekankan kepada aplikasi perancangan taktikal dan operasi di peringkat batalion dan Markas Medan TDDB.
