PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 21 January 2022 – The closing ceremony for the Intermediate Signals Course 2021 was held today at the Dining Hall of Support Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (Sp Bn RBLF). The event was held in accordance with the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
Present as the guest of honour was Major Khairul Faizin bin Hj Abdul Gapar, Directing Staff of Officers Development Wing, School of Infantry RBLF (SOI RBLF).
The ceremony commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and continued with a brief on the course conduct. The ceremony continued with the certificate presentations followed by a speech by the guest of honour and concluded with a group photo.
A total of 30 participants from various units, comprising of personnel from RBLF, Royal Brunei Air Force and Gurkha Reserve Unit. The 12-week course was previously planned to be conducted from 16th July 2021 until 17th September 2021, however, the course was put on hold due to the second wave of the Covid-19 outbreak. The course was then resumed from 31st December 2021 until 21st January 2022.
The objectives of this course are to further develop the signallers from basic skills to intermediate as well as to fulfil their mandatory course for promotion. In addition to that, the course participants also had the opportunity to enhance their skills with the practical and theory lessons for the procedures of using radio equipment available in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
MAJLIS PENUTUP KURSUS PERTENGAHAN SEMBOYAN SESI 2021
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 21 Januari 2022 – Majlis Penutup Kursus Pertengahan Semboyan Sesi 2021 telah diadakan pada hari ini bertempat di Dewan Makan, Batalion Bantu Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (Bn Bantu TDDB). Majlis tersebut telah dilaksanakan mengikut garis panduan yang telah ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis tersebut ialah Mejar Khairul Faizin bin Hj Abdul Gapar, Juruarah Cawangan Perkembangan Pegawai, Sekolah Infantri TDDB (SI TDDB).
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah dan diteruskan dengan rumusan pencapaian kursus. Majlis diteruskan dengan penyampaian sijil diikuti dengan ucapan daripada tetamu kehormat dan diakhiri dengan bergambar ramai.
Seramai 30 peserta telah menghadiri kursus tersebut, yang mana terdiri daripada TDDB, Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei dan Pasukan Simpanan Gurkha. Kursus tersebut telah dijalankan selama lebih kurang dua belas minggu bermula pada 16 Julai 2021 sehingga 17 September 2021, walaubagaimanapun kursus ini telah ditangguhkan disebabkan oleh gelombang kedua jangkitan wabak COVID-19. Kursus tersebut disambung semula bermula 31 Disember 2021 sehingga 21 Januari 2022.
Tujuan kursus ini dikendalikan adalah untuk menaik taraf vokesyen anggota semboyan daripada asas kepada pertengahan dan juga sebagai kursus mandatori untuk kenaikan pangkat. Disamping itu juga, kursus ini memberi pendedahan kepada pelajaran amali dan teori bagi tatacara penggunaan alat kelengkapan radio yang terdapat di dalam Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei.
